And don’t get me wrong, I understand you have to make money. Put an ad at the end of every lesson for free users, we won’t mind. Watch additional ads to replenish lost hearts? Sure, that incentivises accuracy. Lose energy per answer regardless of outcome? Urgh. No thank you.

Alas, @duolingo: it might be time for me to leave. I don’t want to, but 4 lessons in half an hour (my usual rate is 10) because of having to watch ads to replenish this awful energy system has ruined your app’s functionality. An app that punishes time spent on it isn’t for me.

Cancelled work to attend an online other-work training session that, ironically, got cancelled this morning. I’d baked a cinammon and nutella cake in advance that I was gonna enjoy a slice of in the tea break. Instead, this is now my morning. #NoRegrets

Just watched #CaptainAmericaBraveNewWorld and got to say, MUCH better than I expected! Not a lot of feeling of jeapordy - Marvel need to recapture that - but the emotional stuff was on point and Harrison Ford’s scenes in particular really got me! Now to go watch Hadestown😎🎭
