There's literally sorcery in the bible, but sure Technology is the counterfeit miracle. Just wait until the real False Prophet and Anti Christ show up performing what will look like actual miracles (sorcery). God will allow it, he said he's sending the great delusion, this AI stuff is a means to an end. Its to serve the babylon system, which the Anti Christ, False Prophet and 10 Kings destroy at the midpoint. If you think Technology is truly Satan's final gameplan, then you're setting yourself up for deception.
Open Minded Approach@OMApproach
Remember, in order to perform a miracle, you need the permission of God. In fact, He is the one performing the miracle through the person or prophet. The Antichrist, or the devil, is a fallen angel. He cannot perform supernatural miracles because he does not have permission from God. So what can the Antichrist use to perform miracles? Technology, because what is technology mimicking? The forces of nature. So beware when technocrat billionaires tell you that their technologies will perform miracles on par with what Jesus did.

@KR3Wmatic They don’t. It’s a confidence trick they play with their own minds. They’re still theists ultimately. Form of pathological denial writ epistemology.

@antitheistdad Your question itself proves the point you’re trying to dodge. You’re acting like some neutral referee on ‘religion’ while casually lumping everything together as if you hold the objective definition.
English

Modern “Scientism” treats ancient Egyptian practices like a supermarket of doctrines ripe for borrowing. But Horus’s spells weren’t abstract “religion” — they were embedded in temple ritual, cosmic order (ma’at), and participatory afterlife magic.
You can’t rip decontextualized papyrus quotes as gotchas against Christianity while ignoring what those practices actually were on the ground.
See the text I offered ‘Richard King’s Orientalism and Religion’ on how imperial categories distort this. 🤫
English

You really need to stop pretending that Scientism Inc. owns ‘religious practices’ & accept that the defining of them by the imperial world through its institutional order doesn’t square with your attempt to use said by product pseudographic versions as strawmen to even more fundamentally deny the actuality of the practices in & of themselves that existed on the ground.

@KalishJr @McClureShawn I don‘t have the energy these days to think in Mertonist Dissertations…
Old age has given me a sense of urgency that skips educating others.
Show up with a nuanced understanding and my one liners are effective.
