@antonposa @RL_Guru He’s been playing halves much longer than Metcalf so he has more experience and the kicking game & direction like you said shows that. I have always preferred CHT as our utility over TMM but we didn’t have a choice last season. Both Boyd and Metcalf make the side stronger.

@KanjonCallaghan @RL_Guru That's what I've got too. Tanah's kicking game is the best at the club but he's running it really well too and properly directing the team. This will take massive pressure off Metcalf returning from such a long layoff. He can just play eyes up. Chanel is the ultimate utility.

Warriors looking sensational to kick off 2026. Ford killing it through the middle, he’ll lead the Dally M’s again this week. Tanah Boyd has been the best watch for me though, as it stand right now what do you think the Wahs will do positionally when Metcalf returns?

@FaheyAdam Can cover any of the backs, hooker and lock if we’re desperate during the game. Has more xfactor than TMM. Healey needs to stay in the side too, not sure if you put CHT in 17 but somehow, he needs to be there I think.

@KanjonCallaghan The Boyd-Metcalf combo would mean having CHT on the bench who really can cover 4 positions, I see it as a win-win

I said last year when he was signed it should be Boyd & Metcalf in the halves, I said it 3 weeks ago and I think it ms clear it needs to happen. Boyd has taken the opportunity with both hands and as good as CHT is, Boyd needs to be there as a genuine half.

@KanjonCallaghan 100%, Metcalf in the 6, will provide him the space to use his speed and allow us to run Boyd as the 7 as a game manager.

@MattyJared @eagleeyevisuals Agree with this. I don’t think warriors owe him when he left for rugby and came back because he liked the warriors in 2023. Have to move forward with younger guys at some point

@eagleeyevisuals I’m actually not a fan of keeping him. He has been great - even terrific at times - but he left us in his peak years and we have players coming through who deserve a chance. When it comes to loyalty I don’t think we actually owe him anything there.

Unless we have a big name signing on the way, we'll have cash free up from Barnett and Niukore at minimum. Surely enough in the kitty to give him two years. The man has bled for this club, and carried them through some of the hardest years.

Knights have looked their best in a very long time and losing KP Brown and Sharpe so early is a huge dent for them. So unlucky

I’ll always fell bad for KP and his injury run but you have to pull the trigger and get tf out of the game when you feel something. What could have been very minor has probably turned into a month out..
