It's been a while I posted here, so let me reintroduce myself I am Oyinkansola, a front end developer helping service based businesses attract customers with well engineered websites. I also share personal insights from God's word. I am also learning about car dealerships.

@alvinsng I never knew useEffect() was this problematic. I haven't yet ran into problems like this with it, but it's insightful seeing how a production app behaves when it's not been used correctly. Thanks for sharing this insightful post

@TheresaArueyin1 I read my Bible, comparing it with what I hear from sermons. You have to study to show yourself approved, you can't only depend on what your pastor teaches you

Christian to Christian… Do you actually read your Bible… or just rely on sermons?

It's really the small things in life that matter. Are you healthy? Do you have family? Friends to invite over? Work that stretches you? That's being truly rich.

Been working on this quietly, but remembered: show your work. I got a gig to build a school website, the homepage design is done, now I am converting it to code. I am working on other pages as well Would love feedback, especially from UI UX designers 🙏

I saw a post that said: “Forgiveness is biblical. Reconciliation is earned.” Not every door you close needs to be reopened.

@benitambulu_ Pain tolerance. It will definitely not be easy most of the time, you need to be able to push through when it gets hard

Is consistency really enough to succeed in tech, or is there more to it?

@LeilaHormozi A lot of it. I have come to realize, and keep telling myself that nothing will come to me in my comfort zone. We tend to think we can escape this fact, but it's inevitable

@Sincerely_AO This is so important. Especially when you start studying the Bible, your mindset about who God is just keeps improving

Take the time to know God, to truly know who God is for yourself. There are too many people who don’t know God for themselves, and as a result have a false view of who God truly is. Start with the Bible, and continue with prayers. Find God for yourself.

Asking the Holy Spirit to wake you up at a particular time works like nothing I’ve ever seen.

@fidexcode You know the funny thing, you will lose control 🤣. The code will be controlling you, instead of you controlling it

If you allow AI control your project You will never complete that project It will keep adding new features and introducing more bugs.
