This is an extremely reckless statement from a so called leader. Coming from a County that bore the brunt of the 2007/8 post election violence this is Unacceptable. Mr Gachagua must be called out by all right thinking Kenyans and he must stop imagining that his impeachment is a national crisis for which the Country should burn. In the words of Prof George Saitoti, ‘there comes a time when a Country is bigger than an individual.’ Mr Gachagua, that time is NOW!

Later in the day, we joined the faithful at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Shabaab Ward, Nakuru Town West Sub-county, for a special fundraising service toward the construction of a modern administration block.
It was a joy to stand in unity with the congregation, alongside Nakuru Town West MP Hon. Samuel Arama and MCA Macharia Wathiai, in a shared spirit of community service, knowing that we are not just raising structures but strengthening faith, service, and the bonds that hold our society together.

We have concluded the distribution of maize seeds and avocado seedlings to over 10,000 farmers across Nakuru County.
This two-day exercise began yesterday and focused on supporting People Living With Disabilities (PLWDs) and other vulnerable farmers. Some of these farmers had not yet planted due to limited resources.
We reached 44 wards where agriculture is the backbone of the local economy, distributing over 40,000 kilograms of maize seeds and 20,000 avocado seedlings to boost immediate food production and strengthen long-term agricultural resilience.
This is yet another step in our ongoing journey to empower farmers and enhance food security in every corner of Nakuru County.

We remain committed to ensuring farmers access subsidized fertilizer conveniently and affordably.
In line with this, Mauka Cooperative in Mauche Ward, Njoro Sub-county, has become the second society to benefit from our cooperative model for fertilizer distribution, receiving 630 bags. This follows the successful distribution of 1,200 bags to Kamasis Cooperative in Nyota Ward under the same program.
Through this model, cooperatives generate an E-voucher with the National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB), enabling direct delivery of fertilizer for distribution to their members. This approach reduces logistical costs, ensures timely access, and enhances farm productivity and food security.
I encourage farmers to join or form cooperatives to take advantage of this initiative for easier access to subsidized fertilizer. We remain committed to strengthening such programs to lower production costs and empower our farmers for a more food-secure Nakuru County.
