Two hundred Dalit workers were sent from Rajasthan to New Jersey to work on one of the largest Hindu temple outside India. Two died, many have developed an incurable lung disease with some preferring death over their pain. The sheer inhumanity theguardian.com/us-news/2026/a…

India’s economic news is worrying. Youth unemployment is very high: 15.6%. Unemployment among young graduates is even higher. GDP growth is mostly going to the rich. The rupee is falling. Such things happen when politics replaces policy. Sad for a country with so much potential.

Sometime ago, I had a talk with a banking guy and media personality who was part of the GLISCO network in London. But he got fed up with having to support Islamists and Communists (though he's still 100% Globalist attending WEF and hating Trump / Modi/ Milei / Maloni, while supporting China, as that's how he mints his millions). This guy told me something simple and interesting. He was asked to post on social media but limit replies by his "social media advisor" (later I found out this advisor was a Pakistani Brit). The reason he gave was - "if you limit replies, your message will reach millions yet there will be no direct replies to counter your post or dilute its content for your audience." That's when it hit me: 1) They use replies and comments to dilute and attack any truth we post. 2) They make sure we can't reply and counter when they are creating a narrative. Now go and find who's posting without allowing replies and comments on social media. You will know they are working with an agenda pushing their narrative. Mostly for the GLISCO-DS.

I'll copy here what I wrote to one friend. The pro-India elements of Dhurandhar were a powerful response to serious Pakistani Islamist terrorism. The pro-Modi elements of Dhurandhar were cheaply partisan and forced into the narrative. They disrespectfully mobilized the suffering of thousands of people to support a specific political party. It's not uncommon for a great work of art to take a political point of view, and even to make a political statement. It's rare for a great movie to endorse a particular political party.

@BabonesBhai Aalam simply said he was a petty thief from Bateilly. How did u deduce religion when he himself didn't mention it? Also why r u bringing religious angle unnecessarily in this discourse? This movie is all about spies taking the bull of Pak sponspred terrorism by horn. Period.

Spoilers (as if it matters at this point). In Dhurandhar: The Revenge it was revealed that Hamza was really Jaskirat (a Sikh) and it was implied that Aalam was secretly Hindu. So was Rakesh Bedi's Jameel secretly a Muslim Indian? He did after all raise his own daughter a Muslim.

Diplomatically, India has painted itself into a corner. New Delhi’s visible alignment with Washington and Tel Aviv has enraged public opinion from Tehran to Kuala Lumpur. Moreover, the Modi government has taken this position without any serious leverage over US or Israeli decision‑making, nor has it shown the courage to defend Iranian sovereignty. Modi has reduced this grave crisis in West Asia to another episode of telephone calls and photo opportunities. Read Sushant Singh's (@SushantSin) essay: caravanmagazine.in/politics/us-is…

Gujarat has expanded its lead over West Bengal and Kerala in economic size and GST collections, while West Bengal continues to trail both in per capita income, pointing to widening differences in economic scale and income levels across the three coastal states.

Gravely troubling. Reports that 1000s of non Bengal voters are being enrolled by @BJP4India in Bengal via ‘Form 6’ entries for new voters. This is exactly how the @BJP4India manipulated electoral rolls in Delhi against @AamAadmiParty . Will the @ECISVEEP turn a blind eye? As always ?
Abhishek Banerjee@abhishekaitc

What we are witnessing is deeply concerning. There are growing indications of a coordinated attempt to interfere with the democratic rights of the people of Bengal - with the BJP at the centre of it and the ECI seemingly looking the other way. People deserve to know what is happening to their votes. This isn’t a small issue- It goes to the very heart of free and fair elections. We are receiving credible reports from several districts that large numbers of Form 6 applications (New Voters) are being submitted in a questionable manner. These are not routine additions. There are serious concerns that many of these entries may be linked to individuals who have no real connection to Bengal—people who don’t live here, don’t work here and have no stake in the state. The video only adds to these concerns. It appears to show thousands of such forms being processed and stacked, raising valid questions about the scale and intent behind this exercise. We have seen similar concerns being raised in other states during elections. Bengal cannot be allowed to go down that path. Take a moment to watch this. Ask questions. Because this is not just about politics- it’s about protecting the integrity of our vote. This is the kind of “PARIBORTON” the BJP seeks to impose on Bengal. The Election Commission must answer.

Totally with you @prakashraaj , our sincerest condolences for your loss. As the story goes, even Shankaracharya cried like a baby at his Mother's funeral prompting many of his followers to ask : why? The reply was: if you can't even show gratitude to your mother, then you don't deserve to be on earth to start with. Mothers are not creation of God. They are God personified. Even for non-believers. Our prayers are with you in these moments of sadness. Om Shanti 🙏

An email at 6 am announced that Oracle has sacked 12,000 employees in India. While Oracle has cut 30,000 jobs globally, India has been hit the hardest. Today it’s Oracle. Tomorrow it could be any other company. This is the fallout of AI. We must urgently reorient and retrain our workforce to become AI-ready, or risk being on the receiving end.

Well, it’s now evident to anyone with a functioning memory that ‘serious deliberation and dialogue’ was summarily flushed down the toilet by Pakistan, not by us. Your cocktail-circuit favourite Basit was, only last week, issuing threats to bomb India. Spare us the sanctimony. If you still prefer to crawl in the face of that, that’s your choice. But some of us, informed by lived experience rather than drawing-room nostalgia, choose to stand with a measure of self-respect.
Smita Sharma@Smita_Sharma

It is a strange platform where even the most random people with nothing to do in foreign policy would like to troll and preach to one of our finest diplomats who made India proud as Foreign Secretary. Sadly such is the discourse in this country where abuse and vile have more premium attached than serious deliberations and dialogue. @NMenonRao
