Do you have a strategy for your life? It's an excellent time to think about that question. Thanks to sage guidance from Clayton Christensen, I pulled off a life "do-over" a decade ago--with no regrets. My TED talk explains how. #tedtalk lnkd.in/emXbidG

15) The Prosperity Paradox by Clayton M. Christensen, Efosa Ojomo and Karen Dillon “Powerful, persuasive, and wonderfully written, Christensen and his coauthors make a compelling case for the game-changing role of innovation in some of the world's most desperate economies.” — Eric Schmidt

What so many companies get wrong is falling in love with their product and trying to sell it to the demographic that should want it. How about, instead, focusing on what customers are struggling to get done and helping them solve that problem? #ClayChristen #jobstobe done

A THOUGHT PROVOKING blast from the past: My fireside chat with @KarDillon about her book PROSPERITY PARADOX in Boston, 2019. his post is especially for those who think Cloud’s cost is almost like a crime. It’s not, it’s just a better choice for so many, at least so far… 😊. Example Karen gave shows that people are not stupid or morally inferior, they just want a solution which fits their needs the best. This whole idea is closely related to THEORY OF JOBS TO BE DONE from Harvard Business Sccool as well. I know @ajassy is a big fan of it, rightly so! Karen co-wrote 3 books (including this one) with #ClaytonChristensen, an American academic and business consultant who developed the theory of "disruptive innovation", which has been called the most influential business idea of the early 21st century. @Harvard @HarvardBiz @Craw @tcrawford @matteastwood @dvellante @cloudpundit @furrier @psalvitti @BillMew @om @EdLudlow @jonfortt #Economics #Growth #Psychology #Friction #Policy #Regulation #Anthropology #Innovation #Cloud #AI
