It’s because Israel does not want to wipe out Gaza, that 470 lives were lost . It’s because Israel does not want innocent lives lost, that 470 IDF soldiers made the ultimate sacrifice. It’s because Israel is trying to rid Gaza from Hamas, that 470 families, have had to bury their sons, their daughters, their mothers, their fathers, their loved ones. There’s no genocide in Gaza. Hamas is a terrorist organization that deliberately targets civilians and hides behind innocent people to advance its violent agenda. While I support freedom of speech and the offering of different perspectives in the classroom - words matter. Recklessly misusing the term ‘genocide’ does nothing to advance peace, justice, understanding, or open dialogue.
