I worked in video game retail for many years. In 2005, when WoW was nuclear hot, the PC gamer regulars called it shit like "Shrek Online," because of how cartoony it looked, and the Care Bear MMO, because of how easy it was compared to the other MMORPGs of the day.

Pretty sure that around 3-6 months after Midnight release the vast majority of WoW players who are dooming about addon apocalypse will be happy with the changes. Everyone is afraid of change but humans adapt quite quickly.

@RogerbrownWoW The big thing I see is people dooming over ElvUI and WA quitting development. It's like... ok? Other addons will be built and take their place. It's a continuous ecosystem. Somethings will be rebuilt under a new name with the new model.
