The biggest time-wasters in football now are not the players but some of the officials implementing VAR. Turf Moor confirmed that. Almost three minutes to decide that Anthony was offside. Right decision but a nonsense it took so long to establish. Sort out semi-automated. Almost five minutes to decide that Barnes had handled. Not even sure it was the right decision anyway. The unacceptable, unconscionable amount of time taken damages the game and alienates the fans, without whom there is no game. PGMO has to improve. It claims it is speeding up decision-making and then delivers this desecration of a great football game between Burnley and Brentford with delays. PGMO use of the technology has to be better. And quicker. VAR is here to stay - IFAB underlined that in Cardiff on Saturday - so let’s make it work for the game of football not against. Improve standard of officiating - on-field and at Stockley Park. Invest even more in developing good officials. Speed up the process - and if that means a time limit on decisions then do it. Don’t chase perfection; just prevent injustice. PGMO has forgotten Clear and Obvious only. @TNLUK why is it so impossible to carry out a basic task like update my card details? I can’t withdraw funds because I had to change my card. I can’t deposit because the card is no longer valid. I can’t speak to anybody because your lines are busy and the call just disconnects.

@TfL Again thanks. I’ve tried two browsers now and finally Safari got me to payment page but it’s declining both cards attempted so far (despite both working elsewhere) I’ve spent more time on your terrible site than I actually did driving through the ULEZ zone.

@TfL Thanks but it’s still crashing out at the point it’s checking my vehicle. It makes it very difficult to pay what I need and then I run the risk of a fine. I’ve tried multiple times over the past 12 hours and nothing works.

This is dangerously inflammatory . Firstly, it is clear that neither have read the piece by @David_Ornstein , referred to. Had they done so, they’d know that there’s no binary here. The player believes he was given assurances that haven’t been honoured. Is that true ? Only the parties involved know, but it’s plausible. A good faith approach to this subject would be to first ask the question ‘why does the player feel justified in his stance?’ Instead they settle on building a case for Isak to be a pariah. You can understand why the player felt the need to leave his home in a hurry when celebrities on a national radio station are prepared to unequivocally publicly label him as a terrible and treacherous human being. Also, you’d think LFC and Isak were plotting to get the player out of the club without compensation. A staggering level British transfer fee awaits NUFC, which would be of enormous benefit to a club that has struggled to work within the PSR system. A fee that they can only expect to achieve because of the player’s body of work for their cause.
