Collapse of critical Atlantic current more likely than thought channel4.com/news/collapse-… via @c4ciaran

@FmCatenaccio I'm not sure why he hates Norgaard. Has been pretty solid when he's been given a chance. Absolutely should have been used more earlier in the season. I'm struggling to see how this turns around and we click into gear. I'm hoping Saka and Timber maybe coming back sparks something
English

@Karlels I think the Merino injury has had a huge impact on Rice and Zubimendi, both look knackered playing every 3 days. The Norgaard signing makes less and less sense every day
English

@mattkandela I think at this stage we would be better off getting knocked out of champions league by sporting on Wednesday. They don't look like they have the legs left for both competitions.
English

@FmCatenaccio @jacktruthafc Ah I agree ,I think it's down to Arteta though. And that's not saying I don't like him. He thinks its the way to win the league and he may be right. There is no way we play like this next season. The players are better than they are showing imo.
English

@Karlels @jacktruthafc I've always said, without Saka playing we offer very little, and no word was i right..
I literally do not trust our current crop of players.. Gyokeres, Kai, Martinelli and Madueke.. not a single one of them gets into City's team, that's the levels.
English

@FmCatenaccio @jacktruthafc Maybe I'm in denial. I just can't believe we would get through a season the way we have and lose it from here. Tomorrow is big. City have to go to Bournemouth. They have to beat us. I just think they will drop points. We need a few players back and a kick in the arse.
English

@sidlowe The scrutiny over the most absurd of stats just coz Arsenal are winning their games in a supposedly nonconformist way. Are we measuring time for restarts now? How about the loss of 10-15 mins as a result of the fantastic new comms equipment of the refs gone AWOL during the NLD?
English

This number sounds absolutely mind-blowing to me but I'd like to know what a "normal" number would be: is it actually far higher than we imagine? Are Arsenal even an outlier? (I'm also interested in the measurement of it: responsibility for and intention of delay etc)
OptaJoe@OptaJoe
30 - Arsenal took 30 minutes and 51 seconds to restart play against Brighton last night, their highest total in a Premier League match this season. Delayed.

@Redbutdred Genuinely had an orgasm when Delap was through towards the end. Then tried to convince himself they weren't offside when Pedro was about 10 yards offside. He's a strange man.
English

@dermonolan91 Agree with you. Fingers crossed Man City can continue to reel them in.
English

How anybody could cheer on that horrible club to win a league is beyond me #LUFC
English

@FmCatenaccio @RationalArsenal As brutal as martinelli can be ,he has to start the big games. Trossard is a finisher as Arteta calls them. Madueke the same. If Dowman is fit again, give him a run. Fuck it at this stage.
English

@RationalArsenal I'd be inclined to use Saka as a 10, and have Madueke on the right wing with Trossard on the left. Ideally have Havertz up top to drop, link and create space behind the defence.
English

@FmCatenaccio @RationalArsenal I'm not having Saka as a 10. I'm barely having him where he is. Trossard is an impact sub. Madueke I'm just not having. I could deal with Havertz up top. He is massively missed when he isn't there. Although that prob says more about the quality we have.
English

@Daysincetrophy @SomaliaNGooner1 That was a good point. We will win the league.
English

@SomaliaNGooner1 2 wins in last 5.
9 points gap to 4.
This is a complete nagative spiral, absolutely nothing about being 4 points clear is positive in the state we are in.
English

@FmCatenaccio @TikiTakaConnor Ah no I kind of agree but he actually held up and layed off the ball well at times tonight. Better than he has been doing. Still scratching my head why at 1-1 we didn't see Jesus come on. Still think it was a decent point cos we werent good and they are decent🤷🏻♂️
English

@Karlels @TikiTakaConnor That really does speak volumes of how poor he has been for us.
If Isak, Ekitike or even a Sesko put in that exact performance, they would be getting battered by the press.
English

Declan Rice: “Valuable point. I think the game was split up probably into different halves.
“I think they probably had the better first 20 minutes and we were on top going up to half-time. Started the second half really well. We went 1-0 up and then you know, they part the pressure on, you know, that's the Brentford way and they're really effective at it.
“You know, they can get to your goal in less than four passes. They play long balls. Igor holds it up really well, they get corners, throw-ins, and we were defending really well, and in the end, we should defend the goal better.
“But we've also had another chance at the end to win it, so it's disappointing, but Brentford are an amazing team and this is a really tough place to come. We take the point, we keep it moving.”
English

@FmCatenaccio @TikiTakaConnor Your going to hate this but that could of been Gyokeres best game for us. Not sure what that says. But he wasn't bad tonight.
English

@TikiTakaConnor Brentford can get to your goal in 4 passes, and Igor is able to hold up the ball. Meanwhile Arsenal take 40 passes to get back to their keeper, and Gyokeres first touches ends up off the pitch.
