Everything was going oh so well just a few weeks ago.
The People are not as stupid as you think they are. This is the consequence of many years of hollowing out our own capabilities, be it energy, defence, manufacturing, justice...you name it, it has intentionally been sold off, defunded or strangled into incompetence.

You can't know how these others feel, you know how you feel, which is the best place to speak from, but how do you know "How people felt"

It is OK to say that "I don't like racist co-opting the flag..." there is no need to speak for others.
I totally agree that the Flag is irrelevant, its people that matter.
Go back to 2012 was the flag racist then...same country, same history, mostly the same people. The same for the 75th anniversary of VE day, street parties during lock down only a few years ago union flags everywhere.
There was no talk then about the flag being Racist.

Its a symbol of our country and its history, It a representation in the world of where you are...same for any flag, so how is ours a "weapon" are all flags weapons, or only the ones you disagree with.
What happens when people who are proud of they ancestry who display the Flag, are they default Racist in your world.
When Athletes wear the flag are they racist or proud.

Fair enough, but Nationalism isn't Racism, They are 2 distinctly different forms of discrimination.
You can be a Nationalist and love every race, but in the same breath be nationalist and hate every race (including your own) because they are from a different country than you.
A White Brit hurling abuse at a White German isn't Racism that's Nationalism.
Race isn't the quantifier here, but its sadly used for everything and that lessens what racism actually is.
