The meeting addressed current issues of global financial transformation and the development of virtual assets and blockchain technologies in Kyrgyzstan. Welcoming the founder of TRON, the Head of State underscored his pivotal role in the crypto industry and his personal contribution to the development of decentralized finance. “Today, in the digital era, innovations such as these are giving rise to a new Digital Silk Road — a network of open interaction and financial freedom,” said Sadyr Japarov. He noted that high throughput, instant transaction finality, and low fees have made TRON one of the dominant infrastructures for stablecoin usage. The President highlighted the establishment last year of the National Council for the Development of Virtual Assets and Blockchain Technologies under his personal leadership. This is a platform that unites the efforts of relevant government bodies with the leading expertise of internationally recognized blockchain industry experts. “In less than a year of operation by the National Council and its Secretariat, we have made a tremendous leap forward. We have held several meetings at the state level, where market-driven decisions have been adopted — from the launch of a national stablecoin and the testing of a central bank digital currency (CBDC), to the introduction of pilot regimes,” the Head of State said. In this context, he pointed to the open state policy that has helped attract major technology companies and leading global experts to the country, noting that the visit of the TRON founder is a vivid confirmation of this. “Our strategic goal is to make Kyrgyzstan a regional hub for virtual assets and Web3 technologies in Central Asia.” “The virtual asset market in the country is now actively developing, the number of licensed participants is growing, the regulatory framework is being strengthened, and infrastructure projects are emerging,” Sadyr Japarov emphasized.
