@darrenmarble Searching for Pre-Seed is a risky and expensive route. If you can't find an investor, you are back to square one. If you find one you part with a chunk of your business at the worst valuation possible. Searching for customers is a much better route.

@ThePeterMick I look for simplicity. Easy sales, short product version cycle, simple delivery. Anything that can shorten the time to market. I typically have a short list of 3-5 versions . I can go back to, when I get stuck.

And here comes the hard part.
You have to figure out what it would take to make each of them work. You can no longer say no, each could be the _one_

I read a long list of questions you should use to identify a customers need before making a sale.
I don't have patience for that and neither do the customers.
Instead I ask one question: Will you buy it?
And wait.
Okay, maybe two: Why not?

@ProductiveChris Laugh it out. When our kids were aged 1 and 3, they got sick during the night to 26th of December. I came back from the all-night pharmacy, all our bedsheets were covered with puke. My wife sat in the sofa with the kids sleeping. We looked at each other and laughed heartedly😂
