If you support Trump or RFK or whoever over Biden, fine that’s your deal. But people like this are ignorant and care far less about the ideals they purportedly support and are much more interested in making everything about themselves.

This is what YOU wanted. You guys got the exact outcome that you helped make happen. You wanted the Dems to be owned, so you could send them a message...well this is what the practical effects of that 'message' looks like. The Dems have no power and Republicans control the entire govt. That's why no one is 'stepping up to stop this.' You helped make it happen. Congrats on your election victory!

Why is there no one in the U.S. government stepping up to stop this insanity? The president of the US is openly threatening genocide against a country of 90 million people, saying “a whole civilization will die tonight.” No mass resignations and the opposition party is absent. What sick death cult. Unbelievably and shockingly dangerous.

@SACricketLover1 @odanga_r I was flying long before the new security measures were in place. I remember the discussion being our proximity to alshabaab. It got worse after that 2016 laptop bomb incident. Plus people to the US or UK face even more scrutiny. It wasn’t this crazy before.

@Kat551j @odanga_r False. South Africa has direct flights to the US. One check. So does Dubai, where I also fly to and from frequently. They limit additional checks to just the passengers flying to the US. They don’t mandate every single passenger to additional checks. You’re being lied to.

I really don’t give half of a flying fuck what a white tourist thinks about JKIA and its annoying security protocols because those useless checks were adopted after pressure by THEIR home governments so that THEY could feel safe in KE. Now shut the fuck up and enjoy your safety.

I am a Nigerian And my opinion is that, the whole world cannot hate us and all be wrong There is something that makes every country to hate us as a group. Not one country on earth loves "Nigerians" We need to look inwards rather than fight the "hate"

@bearhock @mayacassidy_ @D162Michele It’s mind boggling. But then again, you see Brits saying their culture is being wiped out. Fair, but the British colonial government wiped out and fundamentally changed probably half of the living population culture. I mean, it’s fair and not fair.

I think the dense population eliminated the possibility of true conquest. They became experts at subdividing a country and putting a minority group in charge (think Iraq Sunnis). This caused population to enmesh in constant conflict with each other while the Brit’s kept the light on and extraction machine turning.

@Lucass7o6 @agundarachel @Dzungie007 Most of the money disappears into people’s pockets. But people still have access to some money. The contrast would be if we had oil. The government then gets all the money, and all the money disappears as is common in Africa. That’s Kenya’s saving grace.

Guys Nigerians are angry at me because I said I don’t support borderless Africa 😭 but honestly my concern is systems. If governance and safety aren’t consistent across countries, how do we make it work?

@Lucass7o6 @agundarachel @Dzungie007 Yes, they were. The government doesn’t sell tea or coffee. Farmers have cooperatives and government provides research and extension services for free. The government gets money from taxes from the sale. We get subsidized fertilizer, schools etc. however, our government is corrupt

@bearhock @mayacassidy_ @D162Michele ..in the long term that model was unworkable anyway. If they had developed the place, gave rights I think it would be a different story. Btw, Britain wiped out local culture. Practicing of local culture and traditions was banned.

Really? I’m struggling with that. The conquest phase worked because we had giant, resource rich lands with very few inhabitants (or that had been wiped out by foreign diseases). In the case of North America and Australia, there was far less challenge to stay and conquer. Can’t say that for Asia , Africa and the Middle East and the experience had in Afghanistan was enough to usher in the age of rule by proxies.

@Lucass7o6 @agundarachel @Dzungie007 What do you mean? Again, our parents were small scale farmers! That money feeds families, pays fees, medical. Literally entire regions depend on coffee and tea. You have no idea what you’re talking about! The Kenyan government buys maize from farmers too. What are you on about?

@mayacassidy_ @D162Michele Yes I understood the point. Two wrongs don’t make a right. Plus, in all the years of exploitation, they never sent in the number of Brit’s required to subsume the native population. Which is what is being allowed to happen now.

In East Africa, I am treated like a king! The ladies are dying to be the one I love...yet they know I am married. The men too, they look at me with admiration due to my ability to solve complex business issues. In West Africa, the Ghanaians think that my ability makes them look incompetent, the male I mean. Off course, the female like it when you ball & spend. Out here in the West, the black ladies, especially the pretty Southern, Eastern & Somalian ladies wants me.... so where the hell do you get "They hate Nigerians" from? If you roll or place your selves where the unemployed interacts daily with you... na una sabi! Ever seen a well educated South African post crap? or join the looters?

@Lucass7o6 @agundarachel @Dzungie007 That’s wild when all your musicians want to make it big in the US. Kenyans are foolish for not wanting your folks in our countries? Why do you guys care so much about being allowed to go to other countries? Why not fix your country first? I don’t get it!

@Lucass7o6 @agundarachel @Dzungie007 Actually it does. Why? Because tea and coffee is mostly sold by small scale farmers. If you had said cut flowers? Sure, other than jobs, those don’t benefit us. Corruption? Yes but we’re not on the same boat.
