6yo enjoyed learning about famous scientists in @sciencemuseum "20 top scientists" game. And I *love* that half are women. @LetToysBeToys

@Clairebear0163 @the_traitors_ Yes, it was too weird that there was a single "volunteer" in each carriage and not a single one of the carriages drew lots (the only fair way to decide).

@the_traitors_ I think we absolutely will see them again and I wouldn’t be surprised if they were tasked to ‘sacrifice’ themselves before they even got on the train for some reason. Expect the unexpected this year!

@Lifeguard50 Fortunately I'm still off work until next week, otherwise it *would* feel like Monday tomorrow!

@pnwswiftie_13 @sophrossbrooks Jolly good. I had my first at 37. Fell pregnant immediately and trouble-free pregnancy and birth. Followed by three miscarriages over the next nine years. So. You never know.

@LinguistJosh I guess times change as I'm sure I'd have been the same. But I had my one and only at 37. It kinda scares me how adult I was by the time my parents were my age, and how old I'll be by the time she's left school.

I open Christmas and birthday cards from people who sent them with first class stamps first, and put them in a better place on the mantlepiece.

Managed to get out for a Christmas Eve run, taking me to 552.56 miles run so far this year. Hope to squeeze in another #parkrun before the end of #Run2024. #ukrunchat

And who are the ones in all the Alpha Bros chats? Who are the ones judging men for not being masculine enough? In addition, if he's right then why do conservative men lie in their dating bios about their politics if liberal women only want traditional men?

@vitt2tsnoc @EllieCumbo Literally found out last night at about 9:30pm that our Monday collection had moved to today. By chance saw the local busybody post it in our local FB group.

Hearing, as we did after the murder of Sarah Everard, that the reaction to the multiple rapes of Giselle Pelicot will lead to a sea change in responses to men’s violence against women. Except there was no sea change after the murder of Sarah Everard. And I am reminded that in the UK, a donkey sanctuary receives more in donations than 4 of the largest charities supporting women victim-survivors of men’s violence.

@TorquilMacneil @K_IngalaSmith @janeclarejones I've seen a push to take "lesser" crimes more seriously. So many women brush off minor sexual aggressions, but the perpetrators of the most horrendous crimes (such as this) often "start small" or get caught doing something less serious (such as upskirting in this case).

@K_IngalaSmith @janeclarejones It's hard to see what the change would be. Nearly everyone already thinks this was an appalling crime that should be prevented or punished.

@hangonjames1967 @pitchblacksteed When we watched this with our 14yo a few months ago, she decided to talk over the final scene. I was devastated. She'll never again have the opportunity to watch one of the greatest TV moments for the first time.

@MoneySavingExp I discovered years ago when travelling with a baby and specifically did *not* want "quiet carriage", that it wasn't possible to specify "not quiet carriage" when booking.

Many people will be travelling by train this weekend to see their families for the festive period. 🚂 So we want to know when you're booking your seats, which type of carriage do you usually go for (if the option's there)?
