I felt like I hit a ceiling with covers, both creatively and in terms of how many views/subs I could get. I saw *way* more views/streams happening on the nerdcore side, with artists getting literal 100s of millions of streams. The ceiling was miles higher. I want to say, absolutely ZERO shade meant to cover artists, it is such an amazing art form to rearrange music in your own style and I still love doing it now and then. I just felt stuck in what *I* specifically had been doing at the time, and originals was an exciting new thing for me to try.
