NHS Fife is introducing a distinctive tunic to identify advanced and emergency nurse practitioners. ANPs and ENPs are registered nurses who have undertaken advanced academic and clinical training. These experienced nurses work across hospitals, community care, and GP practices.

With many pharmacies closed over the festive holidays, now is a good time to check you're up to date on prescription orders. Find out the public holiday opening times for your local pharmacy here and order in plenty of time: nhsfife.org/pharmacyopenin…

I do a clinical shift monthly, today I got feedback on the impact they have on staff!! I do them to keep me connected, the collateral benefit is that staff really value the Exec Nurse Director working with them, understanding their role/challenges. Tearful hearing the impact.

I have written an article for @thetimes in response to the new draft menopause guidelines from NICE. They are a step backwards for women. CBT may have a place when taking a holistic approach to managing the perimenopause, but it won’t improve every menopause symptom and won’t treat the underlying hormone deficiency. Women deserve to have a choice and if they want to take HRT they should be allowed to. It is about time women are heard and their symptoms and future health is taken seriously.
