After MANY years of work, Primary English In Action is going to print! Thank you so much to everyone who shared ideas, provided early reviews and inspired me with wonderful content about Reading and Primary English. It can be preordered now ahead of the 28 Aug publication date.

Tales of the Wild: Animal Families by Alice Harman & Becca Hall is a beautiful collection of nature stories with supporting non-fiction fact files. Written in graphic novel format, each short story is perfect for class read aloud for pleasure or as a part of an animal topic.

@RE_McGEE It’s compulsory at the C of E school where I’m Chair of Governors. As a result, we have a lot going on to A level. This year there’s particularly big group considering it. The tricky thing is it’s such a big jump from GCSE to A level - quite a different focus.

Only 7% of our students choose GCSE RS. We had plenty of theories about why. So we stopped guessing and asked our students. Some of the answers genuinely surprised me and have changed the way I’m thinking about curriculum design and recruitment. My latest Substack 🔗👇
