I received one of these & granted, it's not the most graceful process to do the test but why on earth would anyone not do it. It's obviously personal choice but a simple test vs cancer treatment saves the NHS much more ££ in the long term. Same goes for mammograms & smear tests.

@models_by_Russ I’ve worked in schools as support staff on and off for years, not one teacher ever turned up to do anything during the holidays. My teacher cousins spends every school holiday on holiday. They move like shit off a shovel when the bell sounds at home time.

Good luck to all the teachers and teaching assistants breaking up today or next week. Enjoy your six weeks… although I still think four weeks would be plenty, just like the rest of us get. All the training days, lesson planning and prep could be done during the other school holidays instead of adding extra days off. Discuss… 🍿🎣🤣🤣🤣

@models_by_Russ You do know that as a teaching assistant I work for the council. I get their standard holiday pay, so most of teh school holidays I'm not paid for. In addition I get paid only when the children are in school - no further pay. And pay more for holidays as a result of school hols.

Can you please share for Oscar? He is still available. Oscar is a beautiful 12 year old male Bichon Frise. He is available and would suit someone who is on their own with no other pets or young kids. He loves attention and claps and will bark to tell you to clap him more. He is very loving. Oscar eats Pooch and mutt calm and relaxed dog food which is provided through his food dispenser. Oscar can be wary of new people to begin with but does like attention and a pet. He likes treats and travels well in the car. Oscar sleeps in his own bed at night. He is also healthy with no issues. He will be rehomed with all of his belongings. We are utterly heartbroken Our sweet girl Macie didn't make it. Her vitals never stabilized and sepsis ultimately took her life We did everything we could for her and she passed knowing how deeply she was loved Thank you for your prayers. Rest in peace, we love you Macie🌈❤️🐾

@MrsWelshAHT I will say I did this in our nonfiction as well. Amazingly shouldn't be more than 10 years old! Some were there before my children were born (and they had left the primary school years before).

@MrsWelshAHT I'm a TA (although just retiring) I did this several years ago and started contacting all the publishers for copies of new books to review,Bert's Books do a scheme you can put your name to as I think does BigGreen Bookshop. There are charities too - Bookmark is one.

New to leading reading in my new school. I have audited the book corners in KS2 and I now understand why there is no love of reading. All the books are incredibly ancient, not representative of the children and without any interest to the kids. We obviously do not have any budget
