@BradW00ldridge @Think_Agri Idea came from talking to distributor today/ cash flow atm from lower prices than current wholesale price so they are ordering less.

@Think_Agri @KateKak Likely only a short term fix, if the company can not accumulate enough profit to fund next purchases the new funds will diminish over time and forward paying customers become unsecured creditors subject to force majeur clauses

@becsta1984 That’s how I feel too.
Makes decision making a lot lighter.

@KateKak Excluding Jan 2010 (250mm) this is our biggest pre season rain. 2012 we had 127mm in last 3 days of Feb. 2014, 90mm in a thunderstorm early March, another good year on low GSR. Invaluable insurance policy right now!

@KateKak Thanks, appreciate the insight. there’s been some interesting conversations today around capturing the value, some based in science and some emotion….

@DraffinChris Puts a floor in the season with getting some moisture in the profile-
If 40 mm conserved and converted at 20 to 25 kg/mm/ha it’s 0.8 to 1 t/ha more than if this rain hadnt come
English

@KateKak What do you think it means in practical terms Kate? Other than what moisture can be stored and converted to production its not really much more than an interesting anomaly, is it…..

@Warwick_Long 96 mm Sun Mon plus 10 mm Fri morn + 25 mm earlier +2.5 mm Tuesday so 133.5. Game changer
English

@KateKak Will see what tonight brings. 20mm so far. Nice, but not a game changer yet.

Self mulching soils like those in the Wimmera crack over summer. So heavy events like this can wash down those cracks and straight into the subsoil for storage until spring.

Inject it into my veins. And subsoil.
