@djensen43 Well, she was a-waiting on the 12:05, hoping to go a little further down the line, so who really knows? What a loss!

A5b: To me, branding connects very strongly to the idea of a digital footprint. Badges can help validate online learning and experiences and leave tracks of a student's growth and performance over time - increasing his/her brand. #edtechchat

A8: Competition is valuable for some kids and detrimental for others. Going back to A5, 6, and 7, building a positive classroom culture and modeling empathy can help make competition in the classroom more meaningful. #LearnLAP

A5a: A teaching/edu brand helps to connect you with other like minded Ts and learners. It provides more options for self-selected PD and just increases overall awareness. #edtechchat
English

@mrterborg Agreed - and it grows throughout the year. As we learn more tools (in context and related to the content) they have another tool in their toolbelt.
English

@KatePeila Yes, but that's ok. one - three options or so. Don't want to overwhelm them. They need to figure out when to use what and why. #edtechchat
English

A4b: Since I work mostly with littles, their exposure is largely limited to what I share with them. If I don't provide them with multiple options, it's hard for them to have real choice. #edtechchat
English

A4a: Loyalty to a tool (and its corresponding brand) can certainly add to a Ts overall brand - for instance, Google or Microsoft certs - but it can be easy to get stuck. Blind loyalty can lead to complacency. #edtechchat
English

A6: Creating a positive and encouraging classroom climate at the BOY creates a space for students to truly engage with one another. This can be done through conversations and read alouds. #LearnLAP
