@gregclough @FieldsHighbury @IslingtonBC The contractors managed to collide with a lamppost on Highbury Grove when they delivered the new loo some weeks ago - the lamp is still leaning and waiting to be repaired.

@FieldsHighbury @IslingtonBC Last I heard from @IslingtonBC was on 13/June with this: "...they had delays in shipping the unit. Its being installed and should be operational very soon." Not sure what "very soon" means, as it was supposed to be by Feb. 😡

Some disappointing news I’m afraid - @islingtoncouncil has determined that the much-consulted-upon and discussed plans for the new cafe are not affordable so will go back to be reworked. (1/3)

Very disappointed that plans for the cafe building on the Fields have been shelved. New designs for lavatories, park keeper’s office and space for a fixed or mobile food & drink offer will be drawn up - work due to start Sept 2026. Demolition of existing buildings due Feb 2026.

Hi ⁦@IslingtonBC⁩ - please could this important safety barrier by the zebra crossing on Highbury Grove be replaced asap? It was removed by contractors delivering a new toilet to Highbury Fields. They also hit the lamppost which has lifted the pavement and will need fixing.

Any update @IslingtonBC - some temporary fencing should be put in place asap.

@TfL @SandiDunnUK It was the same yesterday - the junction with St John Street and Islington High Street is badly affected. Multiple buses stationary.

Bus routes 4 and 19 on diversion via Holloway Road and Seven Sisters Road due to closure of one lane of St Paul’s Road from Highbury Corner. Bus 263 also affected. No buses from Highbury Corner towards Highbury Grove/Blackstock Road.
