Ugg. In the dead of winter, some areas of the coast of Antarctica are above freezing today, so of course the ice isn't forming. The planet is experiencing a concurrence of 5σ events, ocean temps, surface temps, El Nino, Antarctic ice, that only continue to get more extreme.
