This is Briana, Brandon’s wife. It is with a shocked and shattered heart, I have the massively sorrowful news to share that Brandon passed away earlier this week. As many of you know, he had been battling an incredibly difficult illness over the past year. We almost lost him, many times… but he just kept going. This man, my husband, my children’s father, worked harder than anyone I know would have, or could have to try and save his own life. We thought his body had turned a corner, and we thought death was finally off the table. I guess it never really is. Know that when he left this physical world he had been in a place of joy for so many months now. He had worked his body back to such a better spot. He was living life and enjoying it again. He got to remember truly who he was. Not sick Brandon, but just… Brandon. The kids and I got to spend two solid weeks with him last month and it was glorious. We filled the days with all the normal Papa things. Skateboarding, playing backyard soccer with our son, reading books and snuggling with our daughter, bubbles, bike rides, wrestles, holding my hand as we walked the beach. It was the best, and all four of us needed that so desperately. His death came a massive shock and it will take a long time to process that he is actually gone. I and our kids will miss him beyond words. And I know many of you will as well. With love, Briana

@JoeBiden As the mother of a now-adult child with Type One diabetes, I can't tell you how much this means to me! Too many young people and elderly or low income can't afford insulin & it's hard enough to be managing symptoms let alone worrying about the price of medication! Thank you!

I am pleased that, in line with my call, Novo Nordisk will be lowering their insulin prices by 75%, following Eli Lilly’s action. This builds on the important progress we made last year when I signed a law to cap insulin at $35 for seniors. I urge others to follow.

@Nieb77 @lukeshand2 This was happening in our high-performing district; parents & teachers advocated 4 no homework policy for weekends & holidays. We've changed finals so now before winter break. It affected everyone especially elementary teachers, but I do think it was what was best for kids.

My daughter just walked in and said 4/8 of her teachers assigned work packets and homework over Spring ~BREAK~, including 44 assignments in Khan Academy from her math teacher. And we wonder why kids are having mental health issues. I have so many things I want to say but none of them are nice. 🤐

@jodipicoult This is an organized movement where often outsiders are going to schoolboard mtgto demand books get pulled. On a side note, not every child wants to read the same books, kids mature at different rates, tastes vary, but one thing for sure is that a wide variety of books r needed.
