Throughout my years as a principal, as I have encountered kiddos with selective mutism, I couldn’t help but become frustrated- Not frustrated with the student but more that I could not “cure” their anxiety. Why can’t I help them talk? How can we collaboratively support the student? Why isn’t there more research? We have had success stories….some stories are still being written….. @longhaulteacher My doctor mentioned doses of Vitamin C, D for a month and Zinc for 2 weeks. Paxlovid was very effective in decreasing symptoms quickly, and the complaints about the taste in your mouth are true, but that was minor for me. Neti pot daily or more. Chicken soup! NyQuil helps sleep!

@VirginiaBuysse In Illinois we start getting the new booster on Wednesday. Nice masked pharmacist gave me all the information I needed to schedule a 9 am appointment Wednesday!

Waiting at Walgreens for my updated Moderna booster. No one is masking, including staff. One or two wearing surgical masks don’t count. People buying COVID home tests. I’m freaking out. This is crazy. We risk getting COVID while waiting for our COVID shots.
