Grief is a part of life, but there’s no rule book on how to handle it. Instead, I had some fajitas and ice cream, & a few good cries today. And tonight, I’m picturing my dad smiling down on me and saying, like he always did, “happy birthday, baby girl.”

All of these times, there was no trigger. It was just my brain saying, “hey, remember how your dad died in January? How are you feeling now?” Well brain, I hate it.

Grief is rough. I lost my dad 3 months ago. Today is my first birthday without him. I cried on the plane last night. I cried when I woke up this morning. And I’m crying right now, in my cousin’s living room while she checks on her cat.

I feel like I've started to be able to identify when someone uses AI for captions... I mean, I do it too. But it's always the, "but the xyz doesn't stop there!" that gets mixed in that makes my brain scream AI.
