Just been measured for my custom wheelchair. I can’t quite believe that this is my future. But I’m trying to not see it as a sign of weakness. A wheelchair is going to give me back my independence. A chance to be me again, away from a hospital bed. I’m scared but excited to have some autonomy over my body. Here’s to the next chapter

Finally home. Plan in place now, finally. Had breakthrough seizures due to a lower dose of my medications. Been referred to endocrinology and gynaecology. Lots of strong painkillers and some meds to help in general. Here’s to hoping 2026 is a more healthy year! 😅😅

Back in my (not) favourite place. Apologies for the silence. It’s been a rough one these past two weeks. Had a seizure at the cinema and then been in urinary retention (glam, I know) so I’m stuck in a bed with a catheter and waiting for even more testing. Missing my fam 😔

@MikScarlet @BBCRadio2 @MotabilityOps These are the same people who if they become disabled will be astonished at how disabled people are treated and how hard we work to “get on with life” and the consequences of trying

Just been on @BBCRadio2 talking about @MotabilityOps & I'm now so angry. I'm so sick of non-disabled ill informed arsehats bleating about the cost of allowing disabled people the ability to get around. I won't say what I'd like to do to them but I'm sure you can imagine.

Posting this for awareness and to see if anyone else has experienced… Had a 2 min tonic-clonic seizure last night and this happened afterwards. Awful neck pain, sickness too. Just posting for the reality of chronic illness and how we are brave but we are broken too.

Still in the hospital. Seizure free for 36 hours 🤞 Currently having a 24 hour heart monitor as been having a very high resting heart rate. Hopeful that I may be able to go home tomorrow.

Things took a turn for the worst on Weds. Had 5 seizures + in status. Was rushed to hospital + taken to resus where I was unresponsive for an hour and a half. Since have been told my seizures are epileptic and still in hospital. Feels relentless, but I know it’ll be okay.

Have been told it’s likely I have a mix of epileptic and non-epileptic seizures (just to be confusing). Started an anti-epileptic med and waiting to see my neurologist. Trying to stay positive, but man, feel like I can’t catch a break.

TW 🚫 On Thursday I attempted to take my own life. I'm left with a completely shattered heel bone, broken metatarsals and a dislocation. Currently I'm on bed rest with a very uncomfortable catheter and shed loads of pain. Is been made very aware that I'm never going to be able to walk again the same and will most probably will need a full fusion within 2 years. I'm utterly heart broken that my ptsd led paranoia has completely changed my life. I'm feeling so remorseful for the pain I've Inflicted on others, most importantly my family. I wish I never made that decision but it was completely led by intense fear. I just wanted to share this to say how lucky I feel to still be here. In the moment I felt as though I had no other choice. Now I can see a life ahead of me. Sure j still feel suicidal but this has been massive wake up call. Recovery isn't linear but I'm determined to turn this dark place around. Lots of love to you all ❤️
