@Nickyquin @PhantomOpera there is John-Martin Bengtsson. He played both as fistcast and understudied both at the same time. Nicky Wuchinger in Germany first played Raoul and 2 years later understudied the Phantom. I remember seeing Mike Sterling as Raoul - he later played the Phantom as well

I wonder how many people who have played Roul have also gone on to play the Phantom (not including a swing cover) @PhantomOpera

@ShentonStage @PhantomOpera @OfficialALW For me, the orchestra make Phantom the incredible show it is. The depth of feeling created by the musicians and MD are what take me on my journey through the show. It’s cost cutting, pure and simple. The provision of quality musicians to fulfil the score is hardly old fashioned.

After erroneously claiming that @PhantomOpera would not return to the #WestEnd in a "reduced format", @BazBam acknowledges the "downsizing" of one of the original production by @CamMackLtd & @OfficialRUG, contrary to @OfficialALW's & @JessicaKoravos' claims. #PhantomoftheOpera

BREAKING: Despite @OfficialALW’s promises that London's @PhantomOpera would return “in its entirety” last year, corroborated by @JessicaKoravos that it would return “unchanged” as the “original version”, its investors were also told this would not happen: bit.ly/2Q1vf1M

@mcdperc_matt it's a disgrace 😢 We all feared this would happen, but to finally know I'll never hear your grandiose kettledrums again makes my cry. Please stay safe. We, the audience, will never forget what you all created 8 times a week for us for the last 34 years.

I don't even have the opportunity to re-audition for my job and am unclear what the future holds.

I have attempted to keep a dignified silence this last year but now the fate of the Phantom Band is in the public domain, I feel I should say something.

The head of @OfficialRUG, @JessicaKoravos, previously claimed that this Twitter’s reports of @PhantomOpera’s downscaling were “fake news”. Ms Koravos had falsely claimed the 2020 touring version, which will replace the #brilliantoriginal, was an “exactly replica” of the original.

As reported on this Twitter last year, despite false claims by @OfficialALW & @OfficialRUG that @PhantomOpera’s original production would return “in its entirety”, it's confirmed the touring version with half the orchestra & downscaled sets will replace it bit.ly/2QcPBVw
