@Katzenstrand I feel like I'm being a bother to all of my online acquaintances like 90% of the time already. Socializing with irl people will become more and more of a necessity because I have no social support network once my folks inevitably croak.

"artist obsessed with fox girls" becomes a whole lot less endearing once you realize it's really just a sad friendless middle-aged unc creep who has done nothing but stagnate and has achieved nothing in his worthless life except dooming himself to die alone and unnoticed

@sub_res Don't know what you're talking about, I've yet to see anyone pour a glass of milk like Kiri does.

I just wish I understood what people see in my work, especially when there's so many artists out there that do what I do except more competently. Being able to like your own work seems pretty vital to enjoy drawing.

@sub_res Maybe you should try finding someone online you can connect with instead of desperately trying to socialize with "real people" and ultimately being thrown into the downward spiral of despair again. Some of the "let's be friends" comments you get are probably genuine.

@Katzenstrand honestly like every sort of attempt to connect to other people in meatspace has ranged from disappointing to disastrous even when I try my hardest to not be a fucking weirdo so it's rather disheartening

like yeah you've seen like 5 billion "art hard" posts from me by this point but I find it really hard to believe it's just as laborious for others and that I'm not suffering from some critical incompetence
