Public school employee asulted camera man that was reporting on a story regarding the Buffalo public school district. Meet Mr John Palamara, an Assistant Director of Purchase for the Buffalo Public School District. ​The reporters in question were present at the facility to conduct independent reporting on district matters—an assignment completely unrelated to Mr. Palamara. However, upon encountering the cameras recording, Palamara reportedly became visibly agitated by their presence. ​The situation escalated rapidly when Palamara physically assaulted a camera operator, forcibly knocking the recording equipment from the reporter’s hands breaking the device. ​In an attempt to resolve the matter professionally, a follow-up meeting was arranged between Palamara and the cameraman. Rather than showing remorse or professional composure, Palamara became volatile, demonstrating aggressive behavior that calls into question his temperament as can be seen in the body cam. ​For many, this incident raises a critical concern: Is an individual with a documented history of physical aggression and unmanaged anger fit to serve in a capacity that places him within a school district environment? ​Palamara was arrested and subsequently issued a citation for his actions against the reporter.
