There are many ways to encourage other Americans to vote on November 5th and to help our democracy represent more of its people. For example, you can join me in writing letters through Vote Forward (votefwd.org). Letters should be sent by Oct 29, so check it out soon!

A great paper to start with is journals.aps.org/prl/abstract/1…, which uses statistical physics to describe the shape of your ponytail, though not the length at which each strand will break. This paper won @goldlabUC an Ig Nobel prize. Maybe one of these prizes is in your future too!
