There’s live TV, and then there’s Beastie Boys tearing through “Sabotage” on Letterman in 1994 like they were trying to blow the roof off the place.

Can someone please explain why we have to be subjected to listening to this insufferable twat, every damn time we turn on TV? All he does is whine incessantly. He is not liked by most, and he offers absolutely no solutions. @CTVNews why are you giving him so much relevancy?

@Smileyyeg I appreciate this. They’re not going to let anyone in that role win ever again. I’d rather have Pierre bothering them for as long as possible.

Responses from conservatives to my argument that Poilievre should step down have convinced me he should not. If he is that loved among conservative supporters we should stick with him. Canadians don't like him, but they don't like us either.

@Landonforward14 My commute was horrendous along memorial. Deerfoot had not even been touched. Help us understand why millions are spent on ceremonies and art installations and renaming everything but we can’t get this right. People are going to be hurt and EMS is going to be slammed.

Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for parts of Central and Southern Alberta, including Calgary. According to the forecast, we can expect to see 10-25cm of snow between Wednedsay night and Thursday morning, alongside cooler temperatures until Sunday. Be sure to exercise caution should you need to drive. Major roadways, including Macleod Trail, Crowchild Trail and Glenmore Trail will be cleared first alongside bridges, hills and important intersections. Be sure to check the below website for updates on road conditions. maps.calgary.ca/roadconditions/

@Truththing25 I definitely don’t vote consevative just because. I voted because of Pierre. Some of us don’t treat politics like a team sport

If you actually read the statements of the floor-crossers, their chief criticism of Pierre Poilievre is that he isn't a prime minister who can give them stuff.

@Smileyyeg If they can’t win with Pierre, they’ll win with no one. Go a bit deeper - you say it’s not his fault, so what is it then? You really think Canadians are ever going to let any conservative win again?

Those bi-elections were terrible for the CPC. It is not his fault, but Poilievre will never be the PM. He needs to resign. Conservatives cannot lose again. A single additional loss will be the end of Canada as a liberal democratic society. Even now that may be over.

@penottawa @liberal_party What about them being women makes this so exciting for you? I’d love details Penny about why it is important for your to reduce these MPs to their biological sex. Whenever I get hired I don’t tend to think “this is extra exciting considering I’m a woman”.

Nobody voted for a Liberal majority. They didn't vote for C-9. And now, a majority that censors scripture. A majority that controls free speech. A majority built by division. Synagogues, shot up. Churches, burned. Communities, torn apart. Values, shredded. Through subversion, Mark Carney took the reins and kept the worst Liberal policies alive. He wants to demoralize and disenfranchise you. Because he knows, if you stop believing in this country, he gets to remake it. We'll continue to confront their designs, as we have done on C-9.

@BenWoodfinden @yuanyi_z It’s so cute how people still think Conservatives ever have any chance in Canada again. The only thing that matters to most Canadians is to stop conservatives from winning at all costs, including abolishing anything they value and imploding this country.

Carney's majority is an important inflection point for federal Conservatives that should cause serious reflection. I hope voters eventually punish these floor crossers, but there's nothing to be done about it right now. The majority likely means we aren't getting an election anytime soon, which means time to think and prepare. By the time the next election happens the Liberals might have been in power for nearly 15 years. I'm not sure the federal party can survive a fifth straight election defeat, which is why it's imperative it doesn't happen again. Right now we feel further away from government than we have in a long time. We have to be honest with ourselves and not stick our heads in the sand or delude ourselves about reality. That especially means figuring out why Carney is so popular and how to counter this. The shine might wear off, but we have to bet ready to be the compelling alternative. And before anyone puts any words in my mouth or reads into this, I don't think that means changing leader.

Gad. Floor crossings don’t ‘nullify’ votes. In Canada, people elect individual MPs, not just parties, and those MPs retain their seats if they change affiliation. It’s not common, but shifts like that are part of how a parliamentary system works. It’s been this way since Confederation. This is a feature of Canadian democracy. It is why you elect your MP, not the Prime Minister, and it is why we do not need mechanisms like the 25th Amendment to the United States Constitution in Canada.

Canadians vote for several Conservative MPs. They win. Once in parliament, they flip to the @liberal_party achieving a majority. Hence all of the votes in question were nullified. Many Canadians are hailing this as a victory for democracy. It is truly astounding.

I think now would be a good time to desert Ontario and make my way towards Alberta..I have zero interest in staying in this expensive shithole anymore. Commie Ford and Snake Carney are going to completely fuck this place. Rocky Mountains here i come.😃
