I can't stress enough how golden this opportunity set is right now in crypto. Get your head out of the 2-year bear market mode and into this new paradigm. Don't let yourself get outperformed by first-cyclers. This is how I see it right. Let's say there's a 50% chance things absolutely moon from here. I think that probability is higher but let's say it's 50/50. If you're wrong - you'll lose some money. The idea is to not put all of your money in such that if things to to zero you're not going to die. Theoretically, you should also back yourself to get a job (if you don't have one) or be able to continue in your current job. So WORST CASE scenario, ideally, is that things go to zero, you lose a bunch of money, but you have enough to have a job a life and you have to be confident in your ability to work yourself back up. (If you have debt I would advise working on getting that lower first before degenning aggressively on crypto). Now let's say you're right. You've put some money in and you've held on and things absolutely moon. You stand the chance to make anywhere from 2-100x your money. Obviously the 100xs are few and far between and I wouldn't target that, but there are plenty of "obvious" crypto assets you can own that could very easily 2-5x t his cycle. Now that actually makes a big difference to your life if you pull it off, many people have completely changed their lives with that including myself. So the way I'm looking at it (not saying this is the right way, this is just my perspective) - I'm just gonna be long and strong and not falter on dips, even though I have PTSD from round tripping many things in the last 2Y, but I've convinced myself this is a DIFFERENT market now and holding on will get rewarded greatly. If I'm wrong, I'm gonna lose a tonne of money but I'm basically backing myself to somehow bounce back from it if it happens. If I'm right then things could be pretty insane. That's the mindset I've gotten myself into now. This is a bull market. Long-term trends is higher. Buy/hold dips, be open and woke to new metas/paradigms and don't be scared. Also have some core conviction longs that never get touched, have a separate degen back for gambling needs. We've had $4.6bn of net inflows from the BTC ETF in just a month; that number is going to keep growing. In May we could have an ETH ETF and thus even more potential inflows into crypto. Coinbase just reported blowout earnings. Stocks are at all-time highs. Rate cuts still planned for this year. AI advancements will keep pushing tech stocks. You literally have one of the best market environments ever right now and crypto is still like 25-40% off the highs on majors, much more on alts. I honestly believe it literally is that simple, doesn't have to be more complicated than that. This is one of those moments where if I was new to crypto and I understood it I would be going all-in, but because of the last 2 years it's too easy to feel too cautious. Gotta get out of that mindset. That doesn't mean ignore risk management, but I think it means don't get shaken out on dips because genuinely believe we have higher to go. A lot higher to go.
