Both good. Hitters can potentially get away with “handsier” swings at times with light. But lighter are great if you like half bat/underload/skinny, need FB Vert for directness, higher spin rates, short distance velo. Closer to game weight definitely feel better off the game bat, but lose some forgiveness on missed barrels

@AndersonLMiller Will maybe pull the splitty machine closer so it’s firm and less 12/6. But will probably be playing with the movement all winter. Pairing with something at the top to make sure we don’t train to live down there but work there

@KeananLocke Well said!!! Train to cover a ball above the top & raise the floor simultaneously while hitting through inside half to keep you sharp, accurate, & precise continuing to stay on the movement whether it drops down, cuts, or darts away. Good stuff. NPB insight elite info

Teaching how to hit splitters is something that I need to figure out. Yesavage, Yamamoto, Sasaki, Shohei. Lesson there. best pitch in current game. Serious problem for hitters. Can’t really gameplan for it. Even if you sit on it, bottom falls out. Have to truly raise the floor?

Good visual to compare to your film sessions. Finish will give you many clues on how to correct set up/unload 🤝
