As someone who has covered Destiny for over a decade, D2 concluded in Final Shape. Not to say that EoF or Renegades don’t have lore importance, but it’s not Light and Darkness Saga. The next real saga should be told in a D3.

Add another 3,000 on D1 and another 1,000 or so on PS5. Whether you have more or less, I think I have enough. Boycotting Marathon bc you love Destiny makes little practical sense, if you want a D3, there’s only one way that happens, and the closure and disbanding of the studio probably isn’t it.

Yeah so Marathon's cool and all but I definitely think the numbers are less about the game being good/bad and more about community goodwill. Burning several million players by basically torching a beloved franchise really didn't help, tbh. I can't play without feeling gross. I don't think I've ever been more grossed out at leadership decisions and disrespected as a player than I do by what Bungie did with Destiny 2 for the sake of Marathon, which should not be their focus. I'll say it again: I respect Todd Howard's lying more than I do the systematic destruction of a franchise and years of abuse towards a supportive community. This isn't even beginning to touch on the identity/intellectual theft from Marathon and all that stuff, or the abuse of the Bungie leadership towards Destiny 2 developers. Bungie kinda deserves the failure for how they've acted. That's my hot take.

There are 84 days until June 1, 2026. I have made all necessary preparations to attend and report on the trial of Karmelo Anthony. I cannot wait for it to be over. So much truth will be revealed. And then I’m going to write. Absolutely no one will intimidate me or stop me. I’m going to write about just how deeply involved certain players were regarding this trial—from the family of Karmelo Anthony, to the “advocates,” to their campaigns and petitions in efforts to silence reporters and activists, to the abuse the Metcalf family has endured, to the involvement of the Black Panthers and activist grifters who wanted a quick buck and their 15 minutes of fame. This case and trial are being used to attempt to brainwash adults and children alike into thinking that a violent action is appropriate when feelings are hurt. This generation of children is not good at regulating their feelings or responses to confrontation, and this case is a perfect example of that. I will also be working with Jeff Metcalf, Austin’s father, and several others to lobby and make sure sovereign immunity is REMOVED from public schools in Texas. I cannot wait for the expected guilty verdict, so I can freely write about everything I have witnessed on a daily level since that fateful day on April 2, 2025. RIP Austin Metcalf.
