So a lot of people are wondering what I'm doing and where I've been. I wanna first start off by letting everyone know, no, I'm not done with content. THIS A BIG POST
I did content for 15-ish years. That's almost half of my entire life at this point. I genuinely needed to slow down, get other things done, and do all the "life stuff" I was neglecting.
This includes things like getting a degree, sorting out family illnesses and loss, and genuinely trying to further myself IRL. I've also gotten involved in some pretty substantial projects with businesses that I cannot talk about due to NDA's and other things.
As much as content creation is awesome and fun; it's not something that, to me, could carry me through the rest of my life.
It's unrealistic to assume that I'd be "comfortable" at 40-50 years old money/life wise if that's all I did.
I'm coming back to streaming but there's gonna be a few big changes to my branding/vibe/etc. Same Del, different look. It's gonna happen this year.
The entire focus is gonna be around friends, community, and enjoying myself. It's gonna be 99% positive vibes. There will be no more game reviews, negativity, or bad junk.
I apologize if I haven't reached out to all my content creator friends and people who support me! It's really difficult to keep track and the world's kinda been crazy the last two years. I've been keeping my head down and preparing.
I've genuinely done like 5-6 years of work, prep, and college in <2, so I've been SLAMMED. It's definitely hurt my social life and visibility but that's okay! It needed to be done.
I know a lot of you are excited to get back to hanging out, vibing, playing, gaming, and watching; and I am too!
It's just gonna take a little bit longer but I promise it'll be worth it. I'm doing everything in the most responsible, well structured, and safest way I can. Gotta make sure my future is locked in before I can focus on content once more.
Feel free to always DM me/poke me/message me on Discord/Twitter/Bsky - Always happy to chat!
Genuinely thankful for all of you who still check in and are waiting. Ya'll are the best.

@CtrlAltDelrith The worst part is when they don't even credit the original video.

tbh just use keyboard/mouse it's actually pretty dang good from what I've seen so far, way better feeling than controller for some weird reason?
Maybe I'm not at the "oh god oh no" part
Arron Automata 🤖@Arron_TK
The controls in Crimson Desert

@SQM_shane Yeah it's a huge bummer. The work is fairly thankless and doesn't pay well so I can't say I BLAME them for taking the shortcuts but... yeah... not the right way to go about it.
Doesn't look good on the websites that do it.
English

@CtrlAltDelrith most articles have been bereft of critical thinking for a while now -- mostly regurgitated PR blurbs. Its why editorial/ads are suffering while creators continue to be the way gamers find games.

@JeremyPenter Yeah genuinely great in the few times I engaged with them in shared spaces. Very sad news, genuinely.

@StarlightISFJ It's a blanket wording with the justification being 'making guns' but it's very generalized and they want database verification of designs integrated so you can't 'print guns', but it's just control
English

@CtrlAltDelrith Reading the bill this seems aimed at making firearms, not in making other things. I cant imagine it be illegal to 3d print a clock
English

My state actually passed a bill to make 3d printers illegal and a felony to operate without licensing. CNC Machines too.
Wild. Washington overstepping SUPER hard. They want everyone to upload all their designs to a database for "verification"
aka stealing, blech - The biggest supporters of the bill are companies that hate right to repair. WONDER WHY
English

@rebelmindx That's not true at all.
It blew up with Final Shape, had insane momentum, and they burned it almost immediately.
They also diverted Destiny funds to 4 or more different projects that all got cancelled. Bungie did hella bad decisions with their finances. (Not to mention the 3b)
English

@CtrlAltDelrith D2 is over 10 years old. The current dedicated player base is not enough to sustain it. It's practically ran it's course no matter how good new seasons or new content ends up being introduced.
English

Yeah so Marathon's cool and all but I definitely think the numbers are less about the game being good/bad and more about community goodwill.
Burning several million players by basically torching a beloved franchise really didn't help, tbh. I can't play without feeling gross.
I don't think I've ever been more grossed out at leadership decisions and disrespected as a player than I do by what Bungie did with Destiny 2 for the sake of Marathon, which should not be their focus.
I'll say it again: I respect Todd Howard's lying more than I do the systematic destruction of a franchise and years of abuse towards a supportive community.
This isn't even beginning to touch on the identity/intellectual theft from Marathon and all that stuff, or the abuse of the Bungie leadership towards Destiny 2 developers.
Bungie kinda deserves the failure for how they've acted. That's my hot take.
English

Man is Slay the Spire 2 good. Had a ton of fun with @GarukuBluemoon today playing it.
The co-op addition is awesome. Really digging the experience. Worth the buy if you liked the first one or games like Hearthstone
English

@PeacemanODG Yeah Warframe's still going strong and is 13 years old.
I think it's totally chill to hold a developer (That is still actively burning their community) accountable and not support them if they continually make bad mistakes, idk.
It's why I don't play WoW anymore either.
