So a lot of people are wondering what I'm doing and where I've been. I wanna first start off by letting everyone know, no, I'm not done with content. THIS A BIG POST I did content for 15-ish years. That's almost half of my entire life at this point. I genuinely needed to slow down, get other things done, and do all the "life stuff" I was neglecting. This includes things like getting a degree, sorting out family illnesses and loss, and genuinely trying to further myself IRL. I've also gotten involved in some pretty substantial projects with businesses that I cannot talk about due to NDA's and other things. As much as content creation is awesome and fun; it's not something that, to me, could carry me through the rest of my life. It's unrealistic to assume that I'd be "comfortable" at 40-50 years old money/life wise if that's all I did. I'm coming back to streaming but there's gonna be a few big changes to my branding/vibe/etc. Same Del, different look. It's gonna happen this year. The entire focus is gonna be around friends, community, and enjoying myself. It's gonna be 99% positive vibes. There will be no more game reviews, negativity, or bad junk. I apologize if I haven't reached out to all my content creator friends and people who support me! It's really difficult to keep track and the world's kinda been crazy the last two years. I've been keeping my head down and preparing. I've genuinely done like 5-6 years of work, prep, and college in <2, so I've been SLAMMED. It's definitely hurt my social life and visibility but that's okay! It needed to be done. I know a lot of you are excited to get back to hanging out, vibing, playing, gaming, and watching; and I am too! It's just gonna take a little bit longer but I promise it'll be worth it. I'm doing everything in the most responsible, well structured, and safest way I can. Gotta make sure my future is locked in before I can focus on content once more. Feel free to always DM me/poke me/message me on Discord/Twitter/Bsky - Always happy to chat! Genuinely thankful for all of you who still check in and are waiting. Ya'll are the best. -Del

The other wild thing is there's so many content creators that blatantly wallhack for stream. I could call out names & devs who are aware of it (I've spoken to them, they don't want to ban influencers) and they just let it happen. Been told it'd cripple games if bans were common

I don't think I've ever seen a game start to change its core identity faster lol People can't even argue now if Bungie screwed up making an insanely hardcore PVP focused game because Bungie themselves are admitting they screwed up by shifting to PVE modes in Marathon after explicitly saying it wasn't that type of game. I totally understand that there's people who genuinely enjoy Marathon's PVP and core loop, that's awesome for you. I appreciate that. I'm referring more so that most of Bungie's entire dedicated fanbase is PVE oriented and were begging/telling Bungie for years with Marathon that it wouldn't appeal to them. Bungie, of course, didn't listen Now that the numbers are visible they're like "oh shit turns out people know what they like" Man I wish I could burn hundreds of millions of dollars and years of development to learn something people told me before I started. Learnin' something that I already had the data to see. I want the best for Bungie but man there's not enough people making decisions getting fired. You should hear how upset some of the developers internally are about leadership decisions. It's rough dude. Homies/devs who follow me; sorry you've got brick wall bosses.

@GGSmileyYT I think their best option is to let both games drop and focus entirely on Destiny 3 but not neglect the shit out of the PVP this time. Both games are in a rough spot tbh That's a pipe dream though as there's no way Sony will fund that

@CtrlAltDelrith Either is cooked but I do believe they should drop D2, it ran its time and I feel like final shape was the nail in the coffin, Marathon has potential to be more and if they kill it to go back to D2, they won’t attract any new players like myself

I agree wholeheartedly with the sentiment coming from a lot of the community regarding Destiny 2 and Marathon. Bungie cannot support both. Marathon is 2 months in and is doing worse numbers wise (Even including consoles) than Destiny 2 is during its worst content drought. I feel both sides of the argument but I think we're at the point where Bungie cannot support both. They can only support one. Most likely one will be cut off and given to another studio. I do genuinely believe the Destiny 2 community has every right to be incredibly mad at Bungie for how they treated them and the game. I don't blame anyone for not playing Marathon out of spite. It's the literal opposite of what Destiny 2 is, it took everything from Destiny 2, and it made Bungie treat the D2 playerbase like shit. Seriously, Bungie acts like they *hate* their community sometimes and does everything they can do give the opposite of what people want. Marathon cannot add anything short term to stop player bleeding. They wanted the game to be an incredibly difficult extraction shooter. The "hardest one ever" BY THE DEVS OWN WORDS. Now they're pivoting to try to make it super casual.. which is LITERALLY JUST TURNING IT INTO A GLORIFIED GAMBIT MODE What was the point then? Sometimes it's rough to swallow the facts that it was a dumb idea given their playerbase. It's a dumb idea to destroy the entire foundation of what made the company money in the first place. Objectively? You pick Destiny 2. Higher peaks, way more money, more players even though it's 9 years old in its WORST CONTENT SITUATION EVER. It's a no brainer. Subjectively I get people are into what they like and there's nothing wrong with that. Unfortunately I don't think both can exist simultaneously under Bungie. Sucks to hear, but that's where it's at. Btw it's not the Bungie dev's fault. Never be mad at them. It's 100% leadership's fault and "Not giving a fuck about facts" attitude. Always ignorantly ignoring everyone and doing what they think is best. It's like Bungie saw the "Don't you guys have phones" Blizzard approach and said "hold my beer" Ah well

@MartyMecFli Oh, sponsored kit. Basically free loadout from Arc Raiders. They're adding it to another map (Perimeter) , looking at other ways to make more casual content. They're also talking about making the gear from the kit even better. They might pivot more PVE too.

Pointing out very basic simple facts to understand like (x) thing makes more money than (y) thing has been greatest engagement farm ever people get so fuckin' mad when you show #'s people out here actin like Paul Tassi also has their family held hostage or somethin too guys its really not hard to understand that killing the mainstream broad audience thing to fund a super niche small audience thing isn't a smart business strategy that doesn't mean the game sucks it means it was a stupid fucking business decision lmao

@emptyseeker Lol that's because they gutted the DLC models for Mara They're not coming back because the game isn't getting updates and the content doesn't exist. Even with that there's still more people playing than Marathon after 2 months. There's clearly a winner there statistically

@CtrlAltDelrith Try convincing Sony that their new d2 narrative saga is going well. More players than marathon sure but neither of the past 2 DLCs did like half of the final shape. People just aren’t coming back for more d2. The game is 12 years old and something breaks every patch

@AnonimoMortaja Oh I don't think Marathon's bad I think the company that made it shouldn't have and it didn't fit their audience. It also wasn't worth killing the thing that funded 100% of it

@CtrlAltDelrith The fact that bungie supports players like this makes me feel good about not opening this game anymore. If they come up with something worth coming back to, thatd be nice. Doesnt look like its in the cards though

I'd permaban for something like this. Destiny 2 was PVE so Bungie was more tolerant. This is a PVP game where if you don't enforce banning stuff like this (Arc Raiders) you'll lose even more people. They'll have no faith in the system and not wanna risk losing stuff they invested time/effort into. Kinda gross too. You can tell they genuinely enjoyed doing that to people.

Cryo Clip of the Week goes to the most HEINOUS, EVIL, and DISGUSTING thing I have EVER done in any video game. If you can get Out of Bounds and you can get into the Compiler loot room. And you can just camp in the room for someone do compiler.....and then kill them.

dang my take on this was so offensive to some people it got flagged as 'sensitive' yeah I dunno man hard concept to think we should punish people exploiting or ruining games for others in a competitive environment crazy, lets just allow hacking at this point too

@DMTool1 Marathon has less players than Destiny 2, it's not doing well. They're in a panic trying to make the game more inviting to casual players after BRAGGING ABOUT IT BEING THE HARDEST EXTRACTION SHOOTER. There's nothing they can do to pull in new casual players at this point

@CtrlAltDelrith Quite literally your interpretation could not be further off track bruh. The general take away is that Marathon is doing well and a good product, they are happy with its potential. They did not even mention destiny. The impairment was them saying "we overpaid for Bungie"

The Sony earnings call is a huge oof. It's wild that at no point anyone in power internally at Bungie said "Huh, guys, maybe we shouldn't destroy the thing that made us all the money in the first place?" "Maybe we should focus on a PVE experience like what we're known for..." There's gonna be layoffs, there's gonna most likely be a studio merger or full take over by Sony (Like no more independent Bungie), and we're most likely gonna lose Destiny 2. They didn't even MENTION Destiny 2 in the earnings call which is *really* bad for it. I called Bungie going down this road years ago and people got mad about it. It's felt like the leadership has *hated* the player base for Destiny 2 and the game itself for a while. So many decisions didn't make sense, so much money being moved that didn't need to be. Ough. Marathon isn't bad but it WAS NOT worth killing the golden goose over.

@emptyseeker There's no way they're looking at D3. They'd announce that in a heartbeat. It's also hundreds of millions of dollars and 4+ years to develop something like that. No way Sony in the interim would just eat another billion in loss.

@CtrlAltDelrith The copium way of looking at not mentioning d2 is they are working on d3. But someone really should have mentioned a campaign for marathon before shipping it. Campaign would give pve players SOMETHING to maybe get them to play the PvP. Like how I got into halo PvP back in the day

Genuine non ragebait question, can someone give me legitimate examples of amazing games being unfairly defamed by influences and failing to sell, and opposite, absolutely awful games being praised by biased content creators and massively succeeding?
