Every day I feel like I’m under a black cloud, so much unease. There are so many zombies here, I feel like we are doomed.

I never realized something until I was away from it for 6 weeks.
There is something very, very wrong with Canada.
It's like a spiritual rot. It's a true Evil that has subverted near everything.
I mean, I can list all the things wrong here, but it goes beyond that. And beyond just mere corruption.
You feel the weight of it lift when you leave, and you feel it settle back onto your shoulders when you return.
It's like a moldy smell that just won't go away, no matter what you do.
I truly detest what has happened to my homeland.

Federalists are really showing their cards. They hate democracy, they are trying to thwart a citizen petition to put a demoratic question to the people of Alberta. Ask yourself a simply question? Why would anyone be opposed to there being a simple vote on something so important?

About halfway through Pierre Poilievre's interview with Joe Rogan (I've had a busy last few days).
Pierre's ability to break down complex issues like monetary policy, tariffs and resource extraction while staying within a philosophically consistent moral framework is, I think, second to none in the Western world.
Like many Canadians, I hope this interview is one of many like it to come in the future.

For anyone wondering what Québec must do to ensure Canada stays together as a great nation???
Full elimination of the nonsensical government so called equalization payment - would be have Québec simply charge its electricity customers about 6–7 ¢ more per KwA. Still compellingly low. Which is why it’s EASY to argue the current equalization rules effectively reward Quebec and penalize Canada for PQ keeping these rates artificially low.
Very simple to solve. Still clearly equitable to all Canadians.

@HarmeetKDhillon this is OVERT gender and religious discrimination using taxpayer money. I pay taxes in Brooklyn. This park is walking distance from where I live. If I (female, Jewish) walked my dog (haram) into that crowd, would I have access to the park? What would happen to us? LAWSUIT NOW.

I was talking with a boomer about Alberta independence. It would benefit him and his family, but he’s outraged by the idea. No rational explanation given. A former schoolteacher. If he wrote an essay about it, he’d score zero.
