Residents say they were never properly heard. Meetings were held in private. Documents were released too late. A week after the approval, the town held a regular election. Voter turnout jumped 129 percent. Every single council member who had voted yes lost in a landslide. A 70-year-old first-time candidate beat an 8-year incumbent by 40 percentage points. Now a recall petition is circulating to remove the mayor as well. The lawsuit against the city is already filed. Has your local government ever been held accountable like this? 🔥

Am at an U12 soccer match (youngest daughter playing). Ref getting a torrid time from both sides. Questioning every decison. Hes a youngish lad... late teens I reckon. Hes getting frustrated. Seems ppl expect FIFA champions league standards at U12. But the refs are learning too.

@dmcambrois @AaronMaher95 Great point Darren! Think coaching is a real issue too at juvenile. With the numbers being so big it can be who can we get or who will actually take a team. I also think at club level players get into A B & C teams too early and no movement happens between and stagnation happens

@AaronMaher95 One observation at Minor/U20 level is how long players can be removed from club football. Most gone for 4/6 months Lots of training but fewer meaningful games. I wonder is there a balance to be struck there as club football is often where that real competitive edge is developed

The downfall of Dublin Football needs to be studied. We went from 8 All Irelands in 12 years and 14 Leinsters in a row to outsiders for Leinster and miles off the All Ireland Underage is struggling at both U20 and Minor level as well Where is it all going wrong?
