This is why you continue to see conservatives fantasizing about Red State secession despite the fact that Republicans control the House, Senate, Supreme Court, and White House. Why do we need to wait for the other side to take absolute power before we try to do anything? It's almost like they're silently rooting for the Left to sweep back into power so they can go back to doing what they actually want to do, which is engage in some glorious last stand against the thousand-year libtard reich where defeat is not only inevitable but desirable because it's what eternally etches their names in the pages of history. But history doesn't work that way. It's written by the winners, not the beautiful losers. Going out in a blaze of glory because you were too principled or pure to wield power when you actually had the chance to do so is not only absurdly egotistical, but it's monumentally stupid.

Proud to have been a part of @Spencer4Sheriff's historic victory in Lonoke County last night. Looking forward to what he's going to build. Lonoke County made the right call. Now let's finish the job in November. #arpx
Aaron Spencer@Spencer4Sheriff

Lonoke County sent a clear message last night, and we're just getting started. I'm running to restore accountability and integrity to the Sheriff's Office, and the people of this county just showed they want the same thing. Help us deliver a safer and stronger Lonoke below ⬇️

@TonerousHyus I’m just looking at all the options on Kalshi. Seems like there’s potential for a higher ROI by betting on Crockett in small increments from 0-3 % up to the +9 margin. Didn’t know if you were using a strategy like that

There’s a whole bunch of precincts, like 20 of them, in Dallas county that have like 3745 Dem votes and 27 GOP votes and white leftists in Oregon gonna look you dead in the eyes and tell you that precinct is voting for Talarico (it’s 91% black)

@joshrauh @Sportico Late round draft pick and undrafted free agents playing on their rookie contracts will be crushed by this tax. Players drafted in the 4th round or later only make $800-$900k a year at most

I wonder how some of the other players who may not have such additional Super Bowl specific clauses in their contracts are doing under this tax regime. @Sportico?

If his team wins, Darnold will receive $178k and pay $249k to California in taxes for his time here, losing $71k. If his team loses he gets $103k and still pays over $235k in taxes, losing $135k. I presume California is declaring victory, as his incentive to win is preserved.
Kurt Badenhausen@kbadenhausen

California has the highest income tax of any state, and the Super Bowl means 8 "duty days" in CA. Taxes hit your annual comp. Super Bowl winner bonus from NFL: $178K/player Sam Darnold's estimated CA taxes: $249K @SportsTaxMan, @McCannSportsLaw have the breakdown for @Sportico. wp.me/pc2RuA-1lzrvn

This is definitely true. All you have to do is look around. I’m 47 and I have two kids. Almost all of my conservative friends have at LEAST two kids. I only know two liberals that have two biological children. In 10 years this will show up in voting patterns and it will be ugly for Dems

@PeterSc8837721 @TonerousHyus @Southfive @BlueBoxDave You have no idea what the law says about these types of situations. You are wrong on the details of this case too. The man obstructed federal law enforcement operations and he resisted arrest while armed. This is an absolutely great way to get yourself killed.

@TonerousHyus @Southfive @BlueBoxDave Nope- he literally had his back to the agent when the agent grabbed him- meaning he posed no threat and the agent escalated the situation. This is hands down murder- not even a shred of doubt

“He was directing traffic.” Why was he directing traffic? He’s not a cop. It seems very likely he was “directing traffic,” in order to assist an organized mission to impede federal agents. That’s a felony. He likely chose to commit a felony while armed.
Jonah Goldberg@JonahDispatch

@marcthiessen Because after watching the video, people saw that they shot him only after disarming him? Because he was directing traffic until the agents shoved a woman to the ground and he went over to assist? Because he never drew the weapon and it’s not illegal to legally carry a gun?

You’re placing an unrealistic burden on law enforcement to be perfect in a dangerous fast moving situation. When someone who is armed resists arrest law enforcement’s life is in danger. This man’s actions are the reason for his death and no one knows the law or understands it believes the agents acted inappropriately

A man shows up to interrupt an ICE operation armed with a gun and two ammo clips and gets into a confrontation with ICE agents, resists arrest. Why is the presumption that the ICE agents are in the wrong?

@UsingLyft @ActualCorn Anyone can buy a gun. Knowing how to use it is another thing though. I own dozens of guns. I’m a gun nut. There is zero chance that I would ever brandish a firearm during an interaction with law enforcement. This borders on suicidal

@LutherEnjoyer If Vance wins the election in 2028 do you think he will include illegal aliens in the census data? I don’t. If ICE and CBP don’t do interdictions in sanctuary cities where will all the illegals go?

Of course, I already know the answer. They don't want to focus on Red States because it would put Republicans at a disadvantage in the 2030 Census and redistricting. Texas being a vast reservoir of illegals pumps up its representation

Yes, so why not focus on emptying states and cities where law enforcement cooperates? You could do that for the next three years without the disruption that is making mass deportation unpopular

The absolute worst decision a working class or middle class kid can make is going into debt for a college education. We’ve got to break the mentality that a college education is required for a well paying career. Most young men would be far better off learning a trade from 18-22. They get paid for four years while they acquire their license and then a plumber or electrician can make $100k a year. Almost no college grad makes anything close to that for year after graduation

Like I said, it is a judgement call. But we have 2.5 years before we’ll know what the political consequences of these actions will be. I think the rioting and violence will eventually end when enough of these people have been arrested. Even if they’re never convicted. Just having to go through the process will cost them. And they’ll serve as a cautionary tale for their fellow travelers

@KeithEmis Maintaining soft support for ICE and mass deportations is critical to preserving the political mandate and thus the power to continue doing it over the long term. I'm afraid this is being sacrificed for cheap chest thumping. It is better to clear out the easiest states first

🚨 HOLY SMOKES. President Trump has already deported enough illegal aliens in Minnesota for the blue state to LOSE a Congressional seat, per @RyanGirdusky. That means -1 in the Electoral College. BLUE STATES BUILD THEIR POWER OFF ILLEGALS. The 2030 Census will be BRUTAL for the Left! Red states will absolutely surge. The deportations only hasten this process. 📽️ @ScooterCasterNY

It’s a judgement call and you may well be right. Just based on how close the House is I think we should assume it will be lost this fall. The administration needs to focus on getting as many illegals out of the country as possible and growing the economy at 4%+ every year. If those two things happen 28 will be a banner Republican year.

@KeithEmis I think focusing on the most libtard zip codes in America is a mistake. It is eroding support for ICE and immigration enforcement which will bring Democrats back to power. It makes much more sense to pick the low hanging fruit and get millions out without stoking backlash

I’m not sure I agree. I think backing down now in the face of violent attacks on ICE sets a bad precedent. The violent actors need to be caught and imprisoned. That will do more to tap down the insurrectionists than anything else. ICE just got the funding it needs to expand operations. I do agree that red state deportations are important. I suspect that the deportations numbers are going to increase significantly in 26 over 25.

@KeithEmis The problem is that the disruptive protests are eroding support for ICE and the Republican advantage on immigration. Soft supporters are peeling off. We would be better off getting the numbers up in Red States
