If you want to know my bonkers theory, Luigi may be what one might call a "reverse patsy," cast as a charismatic perpetrator for a crime intended to make headlines and spawn a growing, seductive, copy-cat movement. His face is not visible in the first and extremely well-staged surveillance video, only his distinctive hoodie, which we then conveniently saw pulled down in another, later video from another location, where we was dealing with what the world was told was a smitten female hostel clerk . The social media breadcrumbs were laid in perfectly, including the "dreaded "ghost gun" prominently featured in the first video, which immediately became the focus of widespread Web discussion. Did he know the role he was playing in this drama? Maybe. Or maybe partially. Or maybe not. The case against him and the evidence it relies on is flawed, in my "crazy, farfetched" scenario, such that he will go free ultimately and then take up a predetermined role as a t-shirt-famous "revolutionary."
