Roman Anthony, who I love and think is going to be an amazing player, had a quote today, ‘We need to find a way to bring more energy and just be better.’ Energy is based on success!!! Not the other way around! We’ve got to get this out of our minds… energy doesn’t win you games… ever. I had hundreds of wins and many losses, none were ever because of energy Good players making good plays is what wins consequential baseball games When you win, and players are making good plays, energy is good When you lose, and players are not making plays, energy is bad As I’ve said before… individual players can appear to ‘play with energy,’ but if a guy punches out 3 times and makes 1 physical mistake and 1 mental mistake on the day, he’s gonna look like absolute dogshit even if he’s playing with ‘energy.’ My question is, can you perform horribly but have great energy? Someone show me the highlights of someone doing that

@TheTruthFromBen I understand what you are saying and I agree if you are defining “energy” as hype, noise, tempo, celebrations, etc. I define “energy” differently. To me “energy” is focus, confidence, the ability to bounce back, and the desire to compete on every pitch regardless of the score.
