@miles_commodore I got my first ticket in 40 years. Cruising along at highway speed, then a 45 MPH sign pops up. I put on my brakes, and saw the cop hiding just past the sign. Pulled right over, clean record, polite, cooperative. Gave me a ticket. Little towns and speed traps is his business.

My county loves to put a police trap on a very low speed limit going down hill. This is not designed to keep us safe, it’s a way to raise revenue on the backs of law abiding hardworking citizens. I hate that kind of crap.

@miles_commodore Sports used to be something any family could afford. Might be in the bleachers or 'nose bleed' section, but parking/tickets was not that much. The vendors were part of the show; having peanuts thrown to you or ice cream passed down the aisle, money passed back. Good memories.

@rocknrollofall Feeling blessed that so many people chose bands I saw. Yes, music was different back then. It did not all sound the same. A show might have a folk singer, a country band, a novelty group and a rock headliner like Jethro Tull or Molly Hatchet, Steve Miller or Pink Floyd.

@ronsterd89 Depends on how old you are. In the 60s we had Bonomo Turkish Taffy. We would throw them on the sidewalk to crack them into manageable pieces.

Does anyone remember a taffy that came in different flavors, it was long, wide and very flat in wax paper?
