Clemson calls up every team who played Miami and gets the signal data that they got from watching them from across the sideline and uses that data against Miami when they play. The Astros were banging on trash cans to steal signs in real time while they were playing in a game. Michigan didn't do that. They went into games knowing the other team's data, as did OSU (and many other teams).

Ohio State knew Michigan's signals prior to the 2018 and 2019 games, but since they gathered the data through a different method (signal swapping), it didn't break the in-person scouting rule. Was that unfair?

@Underwood_szn The UM culture has turned to a dumpster fire. Cheating scandal, promoted a coach who assisted in cheating and deleted records. Now the delay of the firing u til after National Signing Day. Changing the culture starts with firing the AD and President.

Just wanted to remind everyone that if we hire a current coach like KDB Fisch or Dillingham, they will likely bring a lot of their recruits and current players with them. I know there is a lot of panic right now about losing players but we are going to be ok. I promise you.

Trying to keep recruits by holding back on the firing is underhanded. It’s the new UM culture and honestly I feel bad for UM fans. UM needs respect back and compete

@Matt_Fortuna The hit started out average, cheated and became a winner, and what do you know that after the NCAA put in the Michigan Cheating rule (now teams can use communications to the field (except when OSU’s comm went down many times during The Game) they went back to average.

Michigan is the winningest program in CFB and arguably its biggest brand. Three of its last four hires have made it 2 years (Sherrone Moore), 3 years (Rich Rodriguez) and 4 years (Brady Home), respectively. The one hire that hit (Jim Harbaugh) was made without a full-time AD.

We need to be thankful for these two and their affiliations to UofM. The whole Sherrone story was handled very professionally and with decorum this morning on Get Up.

When it comes to the Sherrone Moore stuff, I feel awful for his wife and kids. They do not deserve this. Multiple media members have said this has been a bit of an open secret for weeks now, which begs the question: why didn't any media outlets report this before yesterday?

@KeithNeal549479 @Michellek4040 Oh, you're talking about in-person scouting. Yeah, that's not cheating. For one thing, there is no rule against "knowing all the plays of upcoming opponents." Team's trade that info on future opponents regularly. And in-person scouting is only prohibited during the reg season.
