Today I join Reform UK after 49 years as a member of the Conservative Party. I am really excited to be a joining a party with a charismatic leader and a vision for a better Britain. 🇬🇧

It’s a true honour to be elected as Leader of the Reform UK Group on Havering Council. Havering is a truly special place, and as Leader of the Council I will fight to keep it that way.

Barking and Dagenham been under Labour control since 1964. And for 16 years … not a single opposition councillor. And it shows in decisions made behind closed doors with no one there to question them. It shows in residents ignored, because there’s no opposition pushing their case. It shows in services that slide, because no one is holding anyone’s feet to the fire. It shows in a council that’s grown comfortable because it’s never had to answer to anyone. That’s what one-party rule does. It doesn’t make things better. It makes people complacent. And it’s about to end on May 7
