Team France in action in Zimbabwe! 🇫🇷🇿🇼 A look back at our recent meetings of the Strategic Steering Committee (COS) and the Local Development Committee (CLD). These meetings are at the heart of our diplomatic efforts. They brought together the Embassy, French stakeholders (Alliance Française de Bulawayo, @AFHarare , The French International School Harare -Groupe Scolaire Jean de La Fontaine, @Cirad_AAM, @ird_fr , @AFD_en ), and our local partners to define and plan our strategy in Zimbabwe for the next three years. The whole blood donation system in Zimbabwe is crazy. Unogona ku donator every month for free but when you or your loved ones need blood you need $400 +. I understand there are costs of processing the blood and all but that doesn’t justify the insane charges

Major Lazer’s origin story is a jumbled up mess. it reads more like a villain story. I knew about Dave (Switch) from being the weirdest and hardest dj in london.. I followed him around endlessly trying to get tips on how to produce better he taught me logic and I threw it in the garbage and learned ableton he was Interested in my local scene in philly - spank rock, amanda blank, santigold, plastic little .. and somehow @MIAuniverse got mixed up in the project as me and Dave were summoned by XL Recordings to make beats for her .. I failed miserably but we did make a mixtape “piracy funds terrorism” and eventually made some bangers like paper planes and bucky done gun.. and dave had a few bangers around town. Mia was always the catalyst for our side project .. we made too many beats for her . we decided to go record them in jamaica because the artists were extremely talented. the jamaican music scene at the time was cutting edge and it was cheap to work there.. we made this major lazer album down there .. and started a little movement that ended up having a few billion streams .. it’s cool to put out Where’s The Daddy now because MIA was the third daddy of major lazer maddecent.ffm.to/wheresthedaddy

15 years ago we released GUNS DON’T KILL PEOPLE… LAZERS DO - it was a radical step into dancehall rave & weirdness and the 3 of us were the genesis. We were excited about new music, mixing everything together, being completely anarchic and.. making up shit on the way.. those days were before social media/streaming and insufferable monotonous music that had rules.. we did whatever we want and apologized later..
