I’ve spent the last 5 days streaming with one simple mission: to have fun. Over the past year or two, I got so caught up in chasing MMR and metrics that I lost sight of what made my stream special: authenticity and a low-tilt vibe that my viewers love.

Amazon is full of fake books now. When an established author publishes a new non-fiction book it gets knocked off as a “workbook” in hours. The fakes outnumber the original 5 to 1. I can report them, but they are immediately replaced.

@Keitheggen I do write about in Therapy's Delusion. Also mentioned briefly here open.substack.com/pub/cultureand… But I always wanted to write more about his work. Changed my view of the world. Without the ability for accurate introspection, the stories we share about our behavior become paramount.

@Keitheggen I think I might have been referring to Richard Nisbett's work that we have little access to our own decision making -- rather we infer our thought process based on socially believed in narratives for why someone would have felt or acted that way.

@CoryBMorgan It's likely the feeder main from bearspaw reservoir that broke underground, the fact that everyone still has water and only a select few communities are under boil water suggests they have it localized. Anyone fed from Glenmore reservoir should not be affected.

I admit, I don't understand how it all works so I have questions. A water main break in NW Calgary has now put all 1.5 million residents under a severe water restriction status where they can't even shower. We don't know how long this will last. So how is it that one water line in a city so huge and spread out impacts the entire city so suddenly and severely? Is it a matter of shared pressure? Lack of ability to segregate the supply? Even by quadrant? I am genuinely curious. I imagine many of those questions will be asked over the coming days. For a city that size, it is surprising that the supply for the entire city is so vulnerable with just one line break. Either way, I hope this gets rectified as soon as possible. Its going to be a miserable period for Calgarians.
