Love that Nigel’s big “gotcha” is mostly a screenshot of the office address and letter heading 😂 Let’s help him out by highlighting the actual contents he didn’t bother to read. For those who prefer facts to rage, our detailed legal analysis on PSED is in the thread below 👇

A lot has been written about Kemi Badenoch and her opposition to the DEI agenda today. She clearly has no shame.

I know this is going to annoy literally everyone but I'm going to say it anyway: Whether it's Brixton 1981, London 2011, or Belfast 2026; rioters, looters, and arsonists always try to claim noble political motivations for their thuggery. But it is always bollocks. The Brixton riots weren't really about 'racism'. The London riots weren't really about 'austerity'. And the Belfast riots aren't really about 'public safety'. There's a reason this specific kind of lawlessness, thuggery, and arson only takes place in the summer months. Because it's not about politics. It's about adrenaline. It's about fun. It's a form of grotesque entertainment for a specific type of dimwit with a high propensity to violence. Don't defend the dimwits who are literally torching their communities for laugh. Who are picking fights as a form of entertainment. Who are no more righteous in their anger than your common or garden playground bully. Up with this we must not put. From left nor from right. It's the same low IQ, temperamentally violent bullshit every single time.

The Belfast Attack: The truth about the 2023 fast-track system they don't want you to know. The horrific knife attack in Belfast has sparked a massive political row. Reform UK politicians are calling the UK’s asylum system “treacherous.”But there is a huge piece of history they are trying to hide. In February 2023, the Home Office introduced a new policy called the Streamlined Asylum Processing (SAP) scheme. The goal was simple - clear a massive backlog of asylum claims as quickly as possible. Who was running the Home Office at the very moment this fast-track scheme was created?  Suella Braverman was the Home Secretary.  Robert Jenrick was her Immigration Minister.  This was their policy. Normally, getting asylum in the UK requires an intense, face-to-face personal interview.  Security teams check stories, identities, and backgrounds. It takes time, but it tries to keep the public safe. Braverman’s fast-track scheme changed that.  For certain countries, it completely skipped the face-to-face interview.   Instead, migrants were just sent a 10-page written form to fill out. If the form looked okay on paper, they were granted legal refugee status. No face-to-face grilling. No deep security interrogation by a human being. Just paperwork. At first, it applied to five countries. But later in 2023, Braverman’s Home Office expanded the scheme to include people from Sudan.  The Belfast suspect is a 30-year-old Sudanese national who got status in 2023. The scheme worked exactly how they wanted it to - it rushed people through. In just one month (December 2023), the Home Office made nearly 17,000 asylum decisions, but only did 4,000 interviews. That means roughly 12,000 people were given legal status in a single month based on paperwork alone, with zero face-to-face oversight. This is why the current outrage from Reform UK is pure hypocrisy.  Braverman and Jenrick didn't just watch this system happen - they built it. They signed the executive paperwork that let people bypass face-to-face security checks. Even worse? Braverman stayed a Tory for years after this.  She stood as a Tory in 2024. She knocked on doors to get Rishi Sunak re-elected. She only jumped to Reform in 2026 after she lost her chance to lead the Conservatives. Don't let politicians rewrite history.  The fast-track system that processed this suspect was designed and executed by the exact people now screaming that “enough is enough.” They had the power, they made the rules, and now they want to blame everyone else.

The Public Sector Equality Duty has turned equality into a game of winners and losers, where some are preferred over others.   The more public bodies chase equality of outcome, the further they move from equality under the law.   The Conservatives will repeal the PSED entirely.

Tonight I went to see Kemi Badenoch being interviewed by the Speccy’s Tim Shipman. For those of you who think she’s washed up, think again - thoughtful, strong, resolute, likeable with workable and properly costed policies. She has work to do but is on@the case!

No one should have any sympathy for the Iranian terrorist regime. It is a regime that has caused so much terror and has blood on its hands — the root cause of so much destruction in the Middle East for so long.

This is typical Reform. “We’ve done nothing to persuade you we can deliver any better than anyone else has done, but if you vote for anyone else you are the problem.” It’s arrogant, undemocratic, divisive, adds to public anger, offers no credible answers, assumes the right to be top dog, and smacks a bit of authoritarianism. All really negative characteristics. People should ignore it. They should vote for the best candidates and the most detailed, credible and well thought through solutions and policies, not emotive headline statements that mask a lack of planning and competence.
Matt Goodwin@GoodwinMJ

If you want to divide the Right & ensure Labour continue to destroy our country then vote Tory or Restore. But if you actually want to take control of this country and turn it around then vote Reform. Reform is the only party capable of saving Britain. It is that simple.

We said we would scrap stamp duty. Cross-party MPs are now urging Labour to follow suit. Stamp duty stalls the market, blocks aspiration and damages the economy. Rachel Reeves should listen. telegraph.co.uk/money/property…

This is a man-made tragedy all down to energy policies that have pushed prices higher in search of a carbon ambition at home and simply pushing businesses to the wall.

This is awful. The last ever Denby Pottery going to the kiln. Why is there not uproar? Where’s the government in this?? We all have Denby in our homes, in family heirlooms, as our history and now it’s closing through lack of support, such a sad sad day. #SaveDenby @denbypottery
