@ErinForYall Comgrats Erin! I know it was wrong to tell you to do it but I am glad to have been wrong.

First year of law school officially done! To everyone who told me not to take classes this semester…you were right. You were so very right. But I’m on the other end and now get to focus 100% on the last few weeks of session instead of navigating a divided brain.

I wish everyone, and especially veterans, a happy and safe Veterans Day.

I promise real and meaningful change, and no one will be hurt by it. I'll write here when I can schedule a little party. And I'll bring the guitar when we do it. Thank you and bye for now... Kelly

Thank you to everyone who has kept up with the campaign here, and of course to everyone who pitched in to help. And thanks to the folks who have shared their poor opinions of me. I ask them to wait and see before believing the words of my former opponent.

Wow. Seems like the busiest day of my life so far. I have loved writing my thoughts here and hearing back from supporters and detractors, but it looks like my time will best be spent working on the transition.

Newly elected Hays County DA @KellyHiggins4DA sums up last night’s county races as a victory for Dems across the board: “Hays County displayed its blueness last night. We all won by unbelievable margins.” Indeed, Hays shifted from firmly purple last night to definitively blue.

I am humbled and honored. I am moved. And I am ready to deliver on my promises. Thank you all.

I am so grateful to the people of Hays County, and to the many people who helped me, encouraged me, supported me with contributions, and turned out to vote. The race is over, and we are all just neighbors again.

Hey. How's it going? As I've said here in the past, the last contested race for Hays County DA was decided by 27 votes. This one was decided by 5343 votes.

Win or lose, this has been the most exciting and meaningful part of my life so far. I will be grateful forever for the people who were a part of it. Thank you all. -Kelly

I'm grateful for the support I've received from the judges, from the ADAs, and from the defense bar. Here in Hays and in Travis county, so many people have stepped up with campaign contributions and encouragement.

Today we make history. However this election ends, I want to thank everyone for their support. I've never run for an office before, so I never knew how many great people were out there willing to spend their time, energy, & money to bring the changes I've always wanted to see.
