Don't think these plants got the memo about what month it is and what they should be doing! Surely it's too early for flowers?! #chillies #willbespicy #growingmyown #ccsk

GrowMad on the road... I love nothing more than losing myself in a walled garden, this time, Calke Abbey. Virtually untouched since its heyday. @NTCalkeAbbey #allotment #GYO #gardening #kitchengarden #organic

The last of the chillies have been sown. I had planned to stagger their sowing a little bit more but decided to just get it over and done with. So the waiting begins again.......... #seedsio #growingmyown #chillies

It's finally that time of year again where I can obsess over seedlings! Here's a new thing I'm trying this year to keep track of how things are going seedsio.com Here's a weeks progress and it's looking much better! #chillies #seedsio #growingmyown

English

@ChilliesHolt That's great since I've got to isolate 😊 🥰

@grow_mad If I remember I'll give this a go at the end of next season! Thanks 😊

@KellyWoodroffe Calabrese 'Ironman' Cabbage 'Spring Hero/Mozart' Cauliflower 'Boris/Barcelona' all work well. Sow calabrese mid-Sept, cabbage and cauliflower mid-Oct. Sow into larger module sizes than normal and keep under cold glass during winter🙂
English

Sowing certain brassica types during Sept/Oct saves so much time in the spring and results in earlier harvests next summer. Calabrese 'Ironman' & Cauliflower 'Barcelona' all ready for planting late Feb under fleece... #allotment #GYO #kitchengarden #gardening #brassicas #organic

@NDchillies @michaelastracha @ChrisGPackham @bbc_autumnwatch @MeganMcCubbin @BBCSpringwatch Yeah that is the conclusion I've come to as well. Never seen one this colour before, thought it was a different species!

Anyone know what sort of spider this is? I've never seen one in my garden before. Pretty thing. Marigold for scale! @michaelastracha @ChrisGPackham @bbc_autumnwatch @MeganMcCubbin @BBCSpringwatch

@ChilliesHolt Fungal infections can takes MONTHS to clear up. You can get stuff from a pharmacy to put on your nails. A podiatrist isn't going to be able to cure this. Your GP can prescribe stronger stuff
English

Anyone ever suffered from fungal toenails and cured it yourself, at home. A Podiatrist sounds expensive! 🙂 #FungalToeNails #Podiatry

@engcountrylife @TheFloofLady Very nice selection! My season hasn't been great this year so I've not made any sauces. Just freezing or drying what I've grown to cook with
Ely, England 🇬🇧 English

@KellyWoodroffe @TheFloofLady Definitely hotter than the Scotch Bonnets we grow 🔥🌶️. We made a fermented hot sauce with some. It has real authority!

New Blog Post!
Anyone that knows me knows that I LOVE very hot chilli sauce. How do I make it? Jump over to our blog to find out 👍

@engcountrylife @TheFloofLady In my experience most Habanero are of a similar heat level to Scotch Bonnets but I've not grown the Antilles version yet. I do have seeds for it though for next year so I'm looking forward to finding out!
English

@KellyWoodroffe @TheFloofLady The Antilles (Carribbean Hot) is 350,000 Scoville - say twice as hot as a Scotch Bonnet - which is quite hot enough for us in regular cooking. The Lemon Aji are pleasantly citrus, Chilhuacle Negro okay and chocolatey and the Ohnivec huge and our staple cooking chilli
English

@TheFloofLady @engcountrylife Any particular favourites? Are you gonna grow anything hotter next year?
Wicken, England 🇬🇧 English

Great offer from @AmazonUK and @Deliveroo. Just a shame I can't use it. Maybe Deliveroo will eventually get round to delivering in more rural areas

@ChilliDiaries But what if I or someone else wishes to make one of your recipes, you're going to have to loan out the special tea spoon?!
Wicken, England 🇬🇧 English

@KellyWoodroffe This teaspoon.
Not that teaspoon, not your teaspoon, not the teaspoon from that other posh fancy set.
Just this one.
Don't you have a special teaspoon? 🤔
English

If you ever follow one of my recipes on the Web Site and I say use one teaspoon of something...
I mean this spoon. Only this spoon 🤷♂️
